About It

I bumped into my parents later in the hospitals shop down stairs.
"July?" Dad called.
"Oh Dad, how's Amelia?" I asked.
"Not good," Mom sighed.
"Oh."
"Why did you waste your time searching for Kiki?" Dad grunted.
"Excuse me?"
"We don't want her," Dad said.
"What? But she's your daughter!" I cried.
"I wish she wasn't, we'll see what to do with her once she heals," Mum sighed.
"You can't say that! Kiki loves you both! She's in a coma!" I yelled.
"She's caused too much upset and stress to everyone," Mum said.
"She really is a burden and a complete idiot," Dad grumbled.
"But she's in a coma!" I yelled again.
"Have you seen Calum?" Dad asked, changing the subject.
"No, have you not seen him yet?" I sighed, deciding not to argue with either of them. It never solves anything.
"No and I overheard that he has a girlfriend with him," Dad said.
I gulped.
"Oh yes."
"Have you met her?" Mum asked.
"Yes," I smiled.
"Okay, well we are going to say hello to her and Calum," Dad decided, walking off.
I was not looking forward to this.

I followed them to Calum. He was outside Kiki's room and had his arm around Annabelle's waist. Mum and Dad stared at him in shock and disgust.
"ANNABELLE RIVERS?" Dad yelled.
She gulped.
"Is this your girlfriend Calum?" Mum asked.
"Yeah."
"How long have you been secretly dating?" Dad snarled.
"Uhh, we never stopped dating," Calum blushed.
"WHAT?" Dad roared.
"Dad..I.."
"I'M NOT HAVING A SON OF MINE DATING A RIVERS!" Dad yelled.
"Please Dad..."
"No Calum, you are not dating her anymore," Mum ordered.
"No, I love her," Calum said.
"She is a monster," Dad said.
"Her parents stole my ring and she purposely wore it when we first met her. Her whole family is a bunch of heartless bi.." Mum began.
"No that's not true Mom, you know it isn't!" Calum interrupted.
You are not allowed to love her."
Tears began to form in Annabelle's eyes.
"Anna, I'll sort this out," he said.
"Mum, Dad, I'm twenty, I can stay with her if I want, her parents never stole that stupid ring and even if they did Annabelle had nothing to do with it and I'm..well...at..the end of my collage year...I'm moving into an apartment in London with her," he said.
Mum and Dad looked ready to explode.
"CALUM YOU ARE FORBIDDEN TO GO NEAR THAT GIRL LET ALONE MOVE IN WITH HER!" Dad roared.
"No Dad, I will move in with her, I'm twenty and you can't stop me, it's completely legal for me to move in with her,."
"Mr and Mrs Summer, my parents never stole that ring..."
"SHUT UP YOU FUCKNG STUPID, USELESS, PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A GIRL!" Mum snapped.
"My Mom messed up, she never did steal that ring, but she knew who did and that's where she went wrong," Annabelle cried.
"LIES! ITS COMPLETE BULLSHIT!" Mom yelled.
"It's the truth."
"Stay away from my son or else," Mom said, coming up to her.
"But I love him," she whispered.
"And I love her too," Calum smiled, looking at Annabelle.
He grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him.
"Cal?" She whispered.
He didn't respond. Instead he pulled her even closer and locked his lips with hers. Annabelle looked like she wanted to protest but Calum kept a firm hold of her waist. He pushed her against the wall and she reached up and ran her fingers through his hair. She then dropped her arms gently around his neck. Mom and Dad were outraged. They got more and more livid as the kiss got more and more intense. But they knew that there was nothing they could do. Calum could move in with Annabelle. They had no power to stop him. They both stormed off leaving Calum and Annabelle still making out in the corridor.

Eventually they broke away.
"Calum...I just wanted your parents to like me, but now we've just made out in front of them so I doubt they could hate me more at this point," she whimpered.
"Anna, I don't care what they think, I love you," he said, looking at her.
"Cal, I love you too," she smiled.
I walked off just as they kissed again. They were lucky that the corridor was unattended. Annabelle's back was still against the wall and it would not have been a pretty sight for anyone around. I'm not one for public affection like that so I wandered off.

Unfortunately Mom and Dad seemed to have spotted them making out again and they were not happy about it.
