August came in about ten minutes. As Calum and Annabelle were upstairs we just sat on the couch together.
"July, please explain," he said, gently.
I took a deep breath.
"She ran away sometime after or during the show her school was putting on. She had the lead role and my parents promised that they would watch her. She only had two tickets so she gave it to them. At ten o'clock Calum and I went to her school. We were told that Kiki got expelled and left ages ago. We were shooed out so we went searching for her. After half an hour we went to the police. They rang our parents but they just said that they had no need for Kiki after all she has done to them. I kept searching until one o'clock when Calum made me go home. He stayed out until three but we still have no luck," I said, bursting into tears.
"Oh July."
"I can't loose another sister," I whispered.
August put his arms around me. I kept crying. He ran his fingers through my hair, kissing my hair and telling me that things would work out. I really wanted to believe him.
I stayed cuddled up next to August for over an hour. After just fifteen minutes my eyelids felt heavy. I was so tired and lying next to August made me feel sleepier. I closed my eyes and went off to sleep.
