I Just Smiled

August told me to stay put while he went and got something from the car. He came back with a blanket. He then took my hand and walked with me towards the beach. The waves were calm but wild, it was exactly how to describe my feelings. Calm but wild.

We walked further along the beach until we found a nice spot and August laid out the blanket on the sand. We sat down together.

"August?"
"Yeah?"
"This is lovely, thank you."
"I'm glad you like it."

"I remember our first kiss," August then sighed.
"So do I," I said smiling even more.
We said no more until cold sea air sent me shivering. August moved closer and put his arm around me. I snuggled into him. I then sighed.
"How can we date for two months and be in love? Is that possible?" I asked.
"It's is possible, because trust me I'm in love," he whispered.
"Well, pretty much all my other boyfriends just used me," I sighed.
"I didn't say it, but that's why it hurt so bad when you started ignoring me," I looked down, hoping I hadn't upset him.
"Oh July, you know I would never use you right?" August cried.
"Well I didn't know that at the time," I frowned.
August broke away from me.
"July look at me."
I turned and looked straight into his chocolate brown eyes.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said with tears beginning to pour down my face.
August put a hands gently on my face and wiped the tears away. He started kissing my neck and going up towards my chin. He then reached my lips and paused before he kissed me.

He kept his hands on my waist. I ran my fingers through his hair and afterwards put my arms around his neck. With his lips against mine, his mouth began to open seeking my tongue. I opened my mouth as well and let our tongues meet.

Eventually we broke apart and I sighed.
"I don't want this night to end."
"July, please don't think like that, just kiss me again," he said.
"Ooh someone's getting greedy," I laughed.
August laughed.
"Someone's getting cocky."
I kissed him again.

"It looks like another school might take Kiki. Well we are hoping anyways."
"That's great."
"And it's very unlikely for Carmel Smalls to change again."
"Yeah."

"How are things for you?"
"Fine. My Dad is really busy with his job. He wasn't fired but I think Roxanne got her Dad to work him overtime so I don't see him as much anymore and he doesn't really care what I do."
"It will fine, she can't make him work overtime forever."
"Yeah, I hope so."
We remained silent for a while, listening to the waves crashing inland.

"How is your Dad?" August asked.
"Fine."
August looked doubtful. He saw me glancing at my legs. I had tights on with my dress so that the bruises he gave me this morning weren't visible.
"July, did he bruise your legs?"
"No," I lied.
He sighed. Then he scanned my face. I had done a great job of covering the bruise by my ear with make up. August's eyes scanned the area and he pulled a tissue from his pocket. He licked the tissue and rubbed the area. I sighed, hoping it wouldn't come off but I knew it would.

"July, when did he do this?"
"This morning."
"You have more bruises on your legs don't you?"
I nodded and tears fell from my eyes.
"July, when we go back home I need to see your legs, incase he hurt you badly because I'm guessing you don't tell Calum?"
"No I don't but I'm fine August, really."
More tears fell.
"No your not."
I didn't answer, I just cried and cried. He pulled me into a hug and I buried my face into his chest.

"Are you alright?" He asked, once I'd pulled away.
"I think so," I said, but tears still silently fell from my already wet eyes.
"I love you," he smiled.
"I love you too," I cried.
He then kissed all my tears until no more fell.
"Aw no more tears for you to kiss, I guess you'll have to kiss my lips instead," I laughed.
"Now look who the greedy one is!"
"Now look who the cocky one is!"
We both laughed together and he kissed me again. Our mouths opened again and I felt the sea breeze hit my face as my tongue danced with his again.

"August?"
"Yeah?"
"Just hold me for a while," I said.
"Yes your majesty," he stuck his tongue out at me.
But all the same August put his arms out and I fell into them. We then turned towards the sea and snuggled up together.

Sadly it got late and our night together was over. We packed away the blanket and shared one more kiss.
"How many kisses was that a total of?" I laughed.
"Six on the lips and too many to count on your neck and tears," he smiled.
"You really counted?" I laughed.
"Of course."

We went to the car and August drove to my house. It was half six by the time we reached it.
"Do you want to come in for a bit?" I asked hopefully.
"Sure, I have to check those bruises anyways."

We walked into my bedroom and sat on my bed.
"Where are the bruises?"
I pointed to my shins.
"Okay, now please take off your tights July, I need to see them."
I nodded and took off them off. My dress was long past my knees. The only reason I wore tights was to hide the bruises.
August inspected my shins. They were badly bruised but nothing more.
"Do they hurt that badly?"
"Not really," I lied.
August sighed and I put my tights back on. He afterwards grabbed my waist and pulled me on top of him. He then switched us around so that he was on top of me.

"August! Get off me!" I laughed.
"No," he smirked.
"Please!"
"No."
And before I could react he crashed his lips against mine.

"Seven," I laughed, when his lips left mine. He was still on top of me however.
August turned his head.
"Looks like your little sister saw that one," he smiled.
I turned to see Kiki staring at us.
"I just came in to get the book I left here," she said.
"It's on my desk," I said, trying to push August off me. He smirked and refused to move.
"You ruined my eyes!" she muttered, grabbing the book.
"Ever heard of knocking?"
"I did."
"Oh, in that case, August get off me!"
August just laughed.
"Hello Kiki, how are you?" he asked.
"Good thanks."
"Should I let your sister go?"
"No it serves her right for ruining my eyes."
I groaned.
"Kiki!"
She laughed.
"Don't get off her!"
I groaned again.
"August your heavy!"
He just laughed some more.
"I'm glad your my sister's boyfriend, she hasn't been this happy in ages," Kiki said.
August smiled.
"She talks about you all the time," Kiki went on.
August smirked and my face heat up.
"Kiki, zip it!"
"Mouths don't have zips," she smirked.
I groaned for the third time.
"July talks about you all the time," August said.
"Really?" Her eyes widened.
"Yeah so high-five I guess," August laughed.
August raised his right hand and Kiki gave him a high-five before running off.
"She's adorable," he laughed.

After a lot of begging, he finally got off me. We turned on the tv to watch a film. We decided to watch a Disney film.
"What about The Lion King?"
"Nah, I'd prefer something romantic," August said.
"Okay well The Little Mermaid is the only romantic Disney film I have, it was mine and May's favourite movie," I laughed.
"The Little Mermaid it is!"
So we ended up watching it together.

Finally August decided to go home. I walked down stairs with him and we said goodbye at the door.
"Wait, July, can I ask you a really serious question?"
"Go ahead."
"Can I have one more kiss for good luck?"
"I think we found out who the greedy one is."
"I think we found out who the cocky one is."
I laughed.
"So? I'm waiting on an answer."
"Fine you can have your kiss," I smiled.
I kissed him and he kissed me back. My hands cupped his cheeks while he had his hands on my waist. It was the longest kiss all night. The whole world melted away. We were on a different planet, a planet that contained only the two of us. I didn't think it was going to be an intense kiss but August pushed me against the wall and licked my lips demanding an entrance. At first I started to protest, moaning softly because I knew that we shouldn't let this get any further but he kept me trapped against the wall and I eventually gave up and opened my mouth, letting our tongues dance together. August left out a deep, lustful moan and I pulled him closer towards me.
I then realised it was a really bad time to do this so I finally broke away from him gently. He seemed to get the message. Right next to the front door was probably not the best place to make out!

"You are the best girlfriend ever."
"I know," I smiled.
He playfully punched me.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Then he walked out and I shut the door behind him. I turned and saw Calum smirking in the corner. He pretended to be sick.
"Really? You're twenty and yet you're still spying on me?" I sighed.
"Yup," he laughed.
"Wow Calum."
"You're the one who ruined my eyes!"
"Again, wow Calum. You spy on me and blame me for what you see."
"Yup," he laughed again.
I rolled my eyes.
"That was so cute July, he obviously really loves you."
I just smiled.
