Over the rest of March and half of April, August and I went on plenty of dates. He did well with getting rid of my depression and stopping me from self harming. I literally had nothing to hurt myself with and August was always around. In the end I just drifted out if it because things were finally looking up.
We actually didn't get to meet Annabelle because she had to cancel. Calum was devastated but she booked to come down another weekend instead.
On Saturday at four the doorbell went.
It was August taking me out on a special date. He told me it was a surprise. He said he wanted to do something special since I hadn't self harmed or stared out the window for two weeks. He told me to dress nice and bring a warm coat. I spend the day pondering on what to wear. In the end I went with my black skater dress with white beads sewed on randomly all over the dress. It flowed out when I walked and was incredibly comfortable. May had bought it for me.
I put on a bit of make up and curled my hair. I decided to wear my white converse instead of heels though. Those were shoes I never had time for.Calum opened the door. I raced down the stairs after grabbing my warmest coat.
"So you are July's boyfriend correct?" Calum asked.
"Yes, and you are Calum?" he smiled.
"Yes."
I appeared behind Calum before their conversation went any further. I had forgotten that they hadn't met yet because of how busy Calum was.
"July, you look beautiful," August exclaimed.
I blushed.
"I'm actually wearing my converse with a dress," I laughed.
"No seriously, I love it, you are stunning, I could kiss you right now," August stopped. He looked at Calum and went red.
"Go on then," I laughed.
I dropped my coat and bag on the floor. Calum smiled and moved out of my pathway as I ran into August's arms. It was a quick kiss but it was still magical. Calum handed me my abandoned accessories. I thanked him and August took my hand before we walked out of my house.
