I was still panicking when I got out of the toilets. No one noticed me but I didn't want to walk any more. My legs felt like jelly. All wobbly and weak.
"August!" I croaked.
He didn't hear me but people turned and stared.
"AUGUST!" I croaked louder.
I got his attention. He gasped and ran over to me.
"July, oh my gosh what happened to you?"
Tears streamed from my face and I was so panicked that I couldn't talk. August scooped me up and held me gently with his arms wrapped around my body tightly. I just kept crying. The manager came over and asked if I was okay.
"Yeah, I think I'll take her outside," August said.
"You know her right?" The manager questioned.
"Yeah, she's my girlfriend," he said leading me outside.I kept breathing fast. August put me down outside Starbucks.
"A...A...August!" I cried.
"Calm down July," he said with his hands placed firmly on my shoulders.
"I can't,"
"Think about last Saturday, remember the restaurant and the beach, remember our kisses and man, that cake was delish," he smiled.
My breathing slowed down. Calum and Annabelle ran out of Starbucks.
"Oh my gosh her face! What happened to her?" Calum yelled.
"Shhh, don't freak her out, I've got this, she's having a panic attack," August said.
"Keep thinking about last Saturday. Hey, I was willing to burn myself for a kiss from you!"
I managed a half smile.
"And remember, your parents like me!" He said, beginning to lead me around the corner. Calum and Annabelle followed him.
"Think about me and close your eyes. Focus on your breathing,"
I did what he said. Then I felt his lips on mine. I wrapped my arms around him and my breathing went back to normal.
