I decided not to phone August until the morning. I cried myself to sleep instead. I had a horrible dream about finding Kiki dead on the road. It scared me a lot. I woke up at seven and decided not to go back to sleep incase I had another nightmare.
I got dressed and knocked on Calum's door. Annabelle opened it.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
"Yeah, did Calum find Kiki?"
"No, I'm sorry July, she's still missing.'
Tears began to fall. Annabelle put her arm around me.
"Did you phone August?" she asked.
"No."
"Well I think you should, Calum didn't come back until three in the morning so he's still asleep but I'm sure when he wakes up he'll drive to the police station," she said.
I nodded and walked off to my bedroom. I found my phone and rang August."Hello July?"
"Hi."
"What's up?"
"I didn't wake you did I?"
"Nah, I was up writing a song."
"I need to tell you something," I said with tears already forming.
"I'm guessing it's not good?"
"Nope," I cried.
"What's going on?"
"Kiki ran away," I cried louder.
"What? When?"
"Yesterday, I'll explain better in person," I sighed.
"Do you want me to come up?"
"One second, I'll just check with Annabelle," I said.
I knew that most likely she'd be fine with it. I mean I am sixteen. I didn't see the need to ask my brothers girlfriend if he could come up but I decided to do it anyway. Half to let her know that I took her advice and half to get up from the really uncomfortable position I was in.
"Okay." He muttered.I walked back to Calum's room with my phone still in my hands. I knocked and Annabelle came to the door again.
"July, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I was wondering if it was okay for August to come up?" I said, eyeing my phone.
She scanned my face.
"Yes, I think that's a great idea," she smiled.
"Thank you," I said, walking away."August?"
"Still here."
"Yes, you can come up."
"Alright, see you in a few," he said, hanging up.
