I Only Noticed August

At five that night I had finished my homework early and was staring out the window as usual when I heard the doorbell ring. I had already added new marks to my wrists when I first came in from school. They bled quite a lot so they were now still wrapped up.

I heard Calum opening the door and footsteps gently padding up the stairs.

"Hello July," August said, frowning when he saw what I was doing.
"Hi," I smiled.
"That isn't healthy July," he sighed.
"It's fine."
"July do you know what that is?"
"What do you mean?"
"July it's obvious. You have depression. You need to stop doing this to yourself."
"It's not depression!" I said with tears in my eyes because deep down I knew it was.
"July stop this!"
"I can't," I cried.
August came over and put his arm around me. He then rolled up the cuffs of my sweater and saw my wrapped up wrists. He slowly undid it and saw the fresh marks from today.
"July?"
"What?"
"Stop. I can't bear to see you do this to yourself."
"Well I deserve it."
"No you don't."
He then got up and walked out of my room. I didn't bother following him.

Minutes later he returned.
"Where did you go?"
"To throw out your razor and hide any knives or sharp objects."
"August!"
"July, I'm helping you out if this. I'm not letting the girl I love ruin herself."
Tears spilled from my eyes. August put his arm around me and I snuggled into him.

"Oh July,"
"Yeah?"
"Can I ask a question I should have asked way earlier?"
"Yeah?"
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
I gazed up at him. Smiling at the question.
"Of course I will," I smiled, kissing him gently on the cheek.
"Will you stop this staring out the window all day? And self harming?"
"I can't!" I sobbed.
He stood up.
"July, you need too."
"I know but I can't."
"July."
I just started full on crying.
"Come here," he said.
I put my arms around his neck. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to his body. He pulled me off the window sill and pushed me gently backwards. I kept walking until I felt the wall hit my back.
He started by kissing my neck lightly. Then he crashed his lips against mine. His lips felt so gentle on mine and it wasn't long before both our mouths opened

I felt so happy for once. I was somewhere else. We were somewhere else.
I didn't even notice Calum walk into the room and quickly retreat.

"Thank you," I smiled, when we broke apart.
"I love you," he smiled.
"I love you too," I said going in for another kiss.

The same thing happened. The whole world melted away while my lips touched his. I didn't even notice Kiki walk in this time and retreat. I only noticed August.

Am I still terrible at wording their kisses?
