Kiki's class was putting on a show. They were doing The Little Mermaid. Kiki was playing Ariel and she was really excited. She could only get two tickets though and she wanted Mom and Dad to go.
She told them all this at the hospital while I was at Costa with Summer. They promised her that they would go. They pinky promised.
The show was on Friday night. I just ended up spending the night at home. Annabelle was still around. Her and Calum were watching a movie down stairs.
At seven o'clock I smiled. The show was starting. I skipped down the stairs to find something to do. I went into the sitting room to talk to Calum but him and Annabelle were deep in a kiss so I quickly backed out and ran to the kitchen to get a snack instead. I phoned Summer and had a conversation with her.
At nine o'clock Kiki still hadn't come home. I began to get a little bit worried. The show was over at half eight. I just assumed it was delayed a bit.
At ten o'clock I grew very worried. I ran down stairs to Calum. He was watching a different movie with Annabelle who was snuggled into him, sleeping soundly.
"Hello July," he whispered.
"Calum we need to go to Kiki's school now!" I cried.
"What? Why?"
"Kiki's show ended an hour and a half ago,"
Calum got up and Annabelle stirred.
"Cal? What's up?" She whispered.
"Sorry Anna, Kiki hasn't come back yet."
"Oh? What time is it?"
"Ten."
"Oh dear."Calum and I raced into his car. He drove straight to the school. Annabelle was staying behind in case Kiki came back.
We ran into the school.
"Hello I'm sorry is Kiki Summer still here?" I panted.
The woman I was talking to scowled. She had black hair scooped into a bun and piercing blue eyes.
"She was expelled,"
I started at her in shock.
"Pardon?"
"You heard me, now shoo, Kiki left an hour and a half ago."
"But that means she's missing, we need to report her to the police," Calum said.
"I don't care now get out of this school," the woman sneered.
We walked out.
"She was nice," I sighed.
Calum didn't respond. He just jumped into his car. I followed him and we drove around the street looking for Kiki. After half an hour we had no luck. We went to the police and reported her as a missing child. And they sent out search parties before phoning our parents.
