When I got out of hospital I couldn't go to school for days. Mom and Dad were super nice to me and about two days after I came home they sat down and asked to talk.
I gulped and sat with them.
"July, sweetie, if your wrist really was sore then was your part of the story true as well?" Mom asked.
"Huh?"
"Did that Carmen girl twist your wrist badly and put makeup on herself to make it look like you hurt her?"
I nodded.
"Oh darling!" Dad cried.
"And the black at school? And the panic attack?"
I nodded again.
"We are so sorry July. I am so sorry. I should not have said what I did. I take it back. Don't worry we'll sort this out for you." Dad said.
Oh really...it's fine." I mumbled.
"No we are going to make it up to you."
"Okay...but please don't.."
"JULY! We know what we are doing sweetheart."
"Okay then Dad." I sighed.
"Also July, you can't go back to school for a while you know that right?" Mom said. "Yes." I smiled.
"Okay so as long as we have you, how's everything at the moment?" Mom asked.
I was delighted to have attention on me again until Amelia stared crying from upstairs and they were gone in seconds.
