August stayed over again that night. We decided against a movie that night and went straight to bed. He slept on the couch. I was worried that his Dad would be angry but August assured me that although his Dad loved him, he didn't care what August did. I realised that it upset him and dropped the subject. He seemed grateful.
That night I couldn't sleep. I didn't want to disturb August so I stayed in my bed but I didn't drift off until half five.
The next morning I woke up at seven. I walked downstairs still in my PJs. They were just blue with white music notes. August was awake when I came downstairs.
"July, you look terrible," he frowned.
"Thanks," I sighed.
"No you look all worn out and tired, you need to rest."
"No I need to find my sister," I cried.
"July."
"Yeah?"
"Come here."
I sat with him still crying. He put his arms around me and began trailing kisses up my neck. My heart began to beat faster. He reached my lips. He ran his fingers through my hair, messing it up even more. I did the same to him. I then opened my mouth and felt him do the same. Our tongues danced together and I shut my eyes, letting my the feeling grasp hold of me. My tears had stopped and I was actually happy for a couple of minutes. We pulled away to take a breath. We were both panting. I saw August leaning in again but before he could go we heard someone clearing their throat in the background.
Calum and Annabelle were hovering by the doorway in their pjs. Calum's pjs were just a plain white top and black, comfy shorts. Annabelle wore pink pjs with white polka dots. Her hair was a blonde bird's nest. She had decided to stay here another week and Calum took another week off collage.
"How long have you been there?" I asked.
"About five minutes," Calum smirked.
Both mine and August's faces heated up.
"We didn't want to break it up, you both looked so happy," Annabelle smiled.
I returned her smile before changing the subject."Let's get dressed and go out," I yawned.
"No July, you my girl are not going anywhere," Calum ordered.
"Huh?"
"He's right July, you're exhausted," Annabelle said.
"How much sleep did you get?" August asked.
"Oh I got plenty," I said, trying to smile.
"July," August said, gazing at me. "The truth."
"Fine, an hour and a half but I'm fine."
"Okay, look July, I think we should stay here today. The police are looking for Kiki, there's not much more we can do," Calum bit his lip.
"No we have to look for her!"
"Okay I'll tell you what, Annabelle and I will search for three hours and if she's not found by then we leave it up to the police."
"Okay, but what about me?"
"You are going to stay here and rest July, and August is going to stay here too and make sure that you don't go off anywhere," Calum said.
"But..."
"Calum's right," August said.
"Fine," I sighed.Calum and Annabelle got ready. Calum then gave me a hug before walking out with Annabelle.
