I went and saw Kiki the next day. There was no improvement.
On Monday, I finally went back to school. I met Summer in the morning.
"How's your sister?" Summer asked.
"One could be dying, one's terrible and one's dead," I sighed.
"Oh July."
"How's Kiki?" She asked.
"No improvement."
"She'll be fine, trust me. Now how's Amelia?"
"Bad, she's getting worse," I sighed.
"Oh dear," Summer said putting her arm around me.
I sighed.
"I can't believe there's only two more weeks of school left." Summer smiled, trying to change the subject.
I smiled back at her gratefully.
"Yeah, it really did fly."
"Yeah."
"How's everything?" I asked.
"Fine, not great, just fine, I don't really want to talk about it now," Summer tried to smile.
"Okay, but if you ever want to talk I'm here," I smiled.
"I know."I went to see Kiki that day. There was still no improvement at all. Tears formed in my eyes when I saw her cold, stiff body lying on the hospital bed. She was changed into fresh clothes by now. I couldn't believe at how happy I was when I first found her by the river, and now I might loose her forever.
