While I sat outside Ms Parks office I started crying so hard that I could barely see. My wrist was senseless and my legs were battered. Then August past.
"July! What now? Are you okay?" He asked, worriedly.
I shook my head and even more tears poured their way out.
"What happened?"
I pointed to me wrist. He took it and I cringed.
"Ow!" I cried.
"What? I barely touched it!" He said, alarmed.
Then he gently tapped it. I cringed again.
"Uh oh. You got to get that checked out. What happened?"
I told him the story.
"She'll be sorry she so much laid a finger on you!" He said.
"That fucking bitch!" He spat.
I suddenly felt warm inside and all I wanted was to kiss him, but instead I sighed and said, "Don't swear."
He just laughed.I saw Ms Parks coming.
"Quick!" I cried.
"Huh?"
But it was too late. Ms Parks stood in front of us. I gulped.
"Uh oh." August muttered under his breath.
AUGUST CANTWELL!"
