We drove straight to August's place. His Dad smiled when we came in.
"Hey guys!"
"Hello Mr Cantwell," I smiled.
"Please call me Walter," he said.
"Alright," I said, happily.
August squeezed my hand.
"You both make an adorable couple," he beamed.
"Thank you very much Mr...I mean Walter," I said.
We then walked up and into August's room.

"They like you," I smiled.
"That's good."
"Sorry about the awkward questions," I frowned.
"It's okay July, really," he smiled.

I headed into the bathroom and changed into some comfier clothes. August wouldn't let me into the room for a whole ten minutes. I stood outside with my ear against the door. I gasped when he finally let me in. He had strung fairy lights around his room and had a song, that he wrote for me playing on a CD player. He had a bowl of popcorn out and some chocolate treats. He also had a new movie ready to be played and a blanket draped on the sofa. For once it was not actually a Disney movie!

"Oh August."
"Do you like it?" He asked hopefully.
"Of course I do!" I exclaimed.
I dropped my bag and walked towards him. I put my arms around his neck.
"You know you're the best boyfriend ever right?"
"Yeah, I know," he smiled.
I just laughed and kissed him.

We sat on the sofa together and watched the movie. I was lying against him while he kept his arm around me.
"Great movie," I sighed.
"July?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you kiss me again?"
"Fine, but I think someone's forgotten their manners, you didn't even say please!"
"I think I used them all up at that dinner," he laughed.
"Well, I'm glad it's over!" I said.
August nodded in agreement.
"Only a little awkward," I frowned, remembering some of the questions my parents had asked.
August just smirked.
"Well now I think someone owes me a kiss for a change," He eventually said, still smirking.
"Oh really?" I smiled before pressing my lips onto his own. It was another magical night.
