I phoned Summer in the car.
"Hello July, what's up?"
"A lot," I admitted.
"Go on."
"If you see Kiki please bring her to my house, she ran away last night."
Summer was shocked. I told her the whole story and it took all my willpower not to cry.The police reported no sign of her. I felt like crying. We spend another day searching with no luck. Calum decided that we should go to the hospital to see Mom, Dad and Amelia. I persuaded August to go too.
"Mom, Dad," I called, when I saw them.
"Hello everyone," Mom said.
I took a look at Amelia. She didn't look good at all. I bit my lip. I was about to ask about her but Mom's red eyes answered my question.
"We need help with Kiki," Calum said.
"What about that wretched child?" Dad scowled.
"She ran away yesterday!" I exclaimed.
"Good," Dad said, firmly.
"How can you say that?" I cried.
"What happened?" Calum asked.
"We couldn't make her performance so she had a tantrum and got herself expelled. I'm fed up with that child!" Dad grunted.
"How could you miss something so important to her?" I sighed.
"We have other children," Mom said, pointing to Amelia.
"But at least one of ye should have gone! DID YOU NOT THINK ABOUT THAT?" I yelled.
"We have no care for that child," Dad sneered.
I was about to yell again but August took my hand and led me away. Calum followed us sadly.
