"July?" Calum called after August had left.
"Yeah?"
"Come here please."
I walked along and into his room.
"Okay you're turn to explain," he said, shutting the door.
"About?"
"About that boy who you were making out with."
I blushed red. He had seen me with August?
"You saw that?"
"Yeah, I walked into your room to tell you that Mom and Dad would be back with Amelia soon and I didn't think they'd be too happy if that guy was still here. And when I walked into your bedroom I saw you with your back to the wall and well, pretty much the definition of making out in front of me." Calum said, shuddering.
"Oh well thanks for trying to warn me I suppose."
"Okay so explain,"
"Well that was...my....boyfriend," I smiled.
"Since when have you had a boyfriend?"
"Since Today but it's complicated, let me explain,"
"Go ahead."
I stared at Calum. All my life he's been the only other person I knew I could trust. I took a deep breath and decided to tell him the truth.
"This girl at school blackmailed him into dating her and he didn't mind until he met me. And well, one time when I had a breakdown in the bathrooms he found me and told them I was sick so I could be sent home. That day, when you were gone to work and everyone else was gone out shopping I think, he came around to check on me and we ended up...kissing."
"Wow! as in just a simple kiss or making out?"
I glared at him.
"Making out."
Calum pretended to be sick. I rolled my eyes at him.
"There's more," I sighed.
"Okay, go on."
"Later when all that drama with my wrist happened he stood up for me but he just got himself into detention with me. So when I came back from my suspension, we were in detention together.
I bent down to get a tissue during an after school detention when the teacher was late, but my wrist started hurting and I had a panic attack. I ended up banging my head on the table and blacking out. When I opened my eyes, I was in the emergency room. It was just August there. I started panicking again and I closed my eyes. He then kissed me to try and calm me down."
"I'm guessing that worked," Calum laughed.
"Yeah it did and that was a kiss not making out.
So anyways a girl must of been looking through the glass on the door and taken a picture because it was put up on Facebook and it looked like I had stolen my best friend's boyfriend. So she then blackmailed him into ignoring me. But on Tuesday he came over and we kissed again. He asked me to help him stand up to the girl who blackmailed him and we did that yesterday. So he came over today to ask me out."
"Just wow! Cute story and I'm guessing when he came over it was making out not kissing?" Calum smirked.
I swatted him, rolling my eyes and feeling my face heat up. "Shut up!"
Calum just gave me an amused smirk.
"Who is he?"
"August Cantwell,"Calum seemed satisfied enough with those answers.
"July?"
"Yeah?"
"I need to tell you something."
"Okay."
"Annabelle is coming here for a visit on Friday night,"
"But..."
"Yeah, I can't let Mom and Dad find out but I really just need to see her again. I'm going to spend the day out with her but she isn't going home until Sunday."
"Where is she going to sleep?"
"I think I'll need to book a hotel for us."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, but I was wondering if you'd meet her? You can bring your boyfriend with you," he smiled.
"Okay fine,."
"And one last thing."
"Yeah?"
"Kiki saw you both making out as well. So you may have more explaining to do," he laughed.
"Okay, I need a lock on my bedroom door!" I said, laughing with him.
