August got detention for a whole month. I felt really bad.
"But Ms Parks! He didn't do anything." I said in tears.
"That's quite enough."
"But MS PARKS! THATS NOT FAIR!"
"ALRIGHT! You know what Miss Summers. You can join him."
I sighed.
"But..." August began.
"Don't you start Mr Cantwell!" Ms Parks snapped.
"Now Mr Cantwell, I'll expect you there at lunch time and after school. So for now, shoo!" She snarled.
"As for you Miss Summer. Come with me."I tried to tell her my part of the story but she wouldn't listen. I showed her my wrist but she just pushed it away while I went red with pain. My parents were called. Mr Jones came in.
They didn't expel me thank goodness. I was suspended for two weeks. When I heard that I burst into floods of tears. On the way home I tried to tell Mom and Dad the true story but they didn't believe me either. They thought I was faking my wrist injury.
I never needed May so much before. She would understand. When I came home I burst into fresh tears.
"Oh May! I need you!"
