Not being able to sleep was nothing new to you.

Insomnia was an old friend you have known ever since your final year in college.

Being able to plop down on your bed and lose yourself into unconsciousness wasn't as easy as it was before. There were just too many things racing through your mind at the moment.

You thought that the trip plus your on the spot performance didn't tire you out as much as you thought it would have. You figured you would have been sleeping like a baby right about now.

It was only 8 o'clock.

Fortunately, the heavens were merciful and Yuri was willing to stay up with you. Apparently the dark haired skater also had a lot in his mind.

The two of you were lazing about in his room, simply enjoying each other's company. It was still as you remembered it. Yuri, ever the fanboy, kept all of his posters of Victor in his room. You occupied his bed, leaving no room for the actual owner which forced Yuri to just sit cross-legged on the floor right by you.

The two of you just stayed there in comfortable silence until you decided to break it.

"Hey, Yuri?"

"Hm?"

"How are you feeling?"

He blinked at you in surprise. How could you have known-

"Dude, I've known you for five years now. I know when there's something bothering you," you stated as if you had already read his mind.

He looked down and fiddled with his fingers, "I feel a lot better now..."

You hummed, "I missed skating like that...wish I could have seen you earlier," you pouted, "You didn't tell me."

He laughed nervously, "I said I was sorry."

You sighed, "Hey, Yuri?"

"Yeah?"

"Where do we go from here?"

He was silent.

He didn't expect you to mention the elephant in the room so soon. In truth, the both of you didn't know what to do. The future was so unclear.

The two of you were back home, sure. But there were so many things that needed to be addressed.

"I...I don't know."

You frowned at his response. He continued,

"I am not sure how...but I want to skate on the same ice as Victor again some day."

'Of course it just had to be something about Victor', you thought.

Well...at least he had ambitions.

You wished things were simpler. You always were the type of person to just go wherever the wind takes you, but now...it seems like it has gotten you nowhere. Since when did your life suddenly become so complicated?

The two of you were brought out of your thoughts when Yuri's phone lit up, notifying him that someone had just sent a link.

You turned on your stomach and poked his cheek, "What is it?"

"Oh, Nishigori just sent me something...wait a sec."

You blinked. Why on earth would Nishigori-
