There was thing annoying sound that rang throughout your head. It was an irritating chime that did not want to stop. It was undulating like a wave and all the while ringing your brain out like a sponge. It was rather loud and it cut through the quiet of the room much to  your chagrin. It was crippling your thoughts and assaulting your poor ears.

You were just about to fall sleep but as soon as you registered your current position, you were pretty glad that you hadn't. You knew that you wouldn't appreciate a stiff neck in the morning. You were bent over in your seat and leaning against the kitchen table. Your sudden shift in movement nearly tipped over the glass of water that rested by your elbow. With bleary eyes, you reached out for your phone in a semi-drunken like manner. It was just an arm's length away from you and once you got it in your hands, you sloppily turned it on. The rambunctious, little contraption had finally decided to give you peace by shutting up. Only then when the screen lit up, did you realize why it had made such a fuss a while ago.

You winced as you checked your notifications. You had thirteen missed calls from your mom. As much as you would have loved to worry about her nagging you on how you should always answer your phone when either her or your dad was calling, you didn't. Instead, you made quick work of shutting your phone down. You did not want to think about what she had to say to you for the moment, it could wait. You would make sure to make it up to her later as soon as you could when you did not feel dead tired and had at least an accumulative fourteen - no, make that twenty-three hours of sleep. You were sure that she would understand if you explained...sort of.

You couldn't put a finger on what you would call what you were feeling right now. You did not even need a mirror to know that at this moment, you most likely resembled a some unfortunate sod in a morgue. You were exhausted, yes. So much had happened in the span of a few short hours. However this was different. There was the kind of tired that could be fixed with a good night's sleep. But with your questionable sleeping habits, you doubted that your exhaustion could be remedied with a longer than usual nap. It feels as though you were wearing a heavy jacket over your frame, a jacket that you couldn't shake off or remove.

You looked around you and noticed that no one else was there. You spared a glance towards the wall clock hanging on the wall right in front of you and took note of the time. It was already three in the morning. Everyone must have been fast asleep by now. It was far too early...or in your case, far too late. Either way, you felt as if  you were on your own at this one. At this point, your neurons still weren't firing all to well. You might as well have been drunk since you were dealing with the 'before 9 am you'. You wished that you were drunk or that  you're curled up in bed and be halfway to your dream land by now. Why not just lie in? You had to put up a bit of an effort just to keep your eyes open so why did you decide stay down in the kitchen- oh, never mind.

You stayed because you wanted to wait until Yuri came back from who knows where he went. Now that you have thought about it, he has been gone for quite some time now. And you could not bring yourself to call him since you were afraid that your mom would still be bombarding you with her own calls.

You sighed. You were so done with waiting. You might as well just look for him and save him from whatever ditch he has fallen into.

You pushed your seat back causing its legs to scratch the floor's surface. You shuddered at the noise that you made. You rose unsteadily to your feet and used the table to support you until you had a good hold of your crutch. There was a dull ache in your ankle. It wasn't enough make you writhe in pain but it was enough to annoy you. You knew you were going against doctors orders by simply putting yourself under unnecessary strain. But you never one to care much for obeying orders to begin with.

You slowly made your way to the front door. You weren't sure where you'd start to look for the dark haired male but you always did get results faster by just winging it. You grabbed your jacket which was hanging over the chair and you shoved your phone deep into your jean pocket.
