There was never really a dull moment with you and Victor around that was for sure. Either of you were always up to something. Sometimes Yuri felt that he was the only responsible adult between the three of you and this just so happens to be one of those times.
Much to his surprise he woke up to the sight of Victor with a mustache and a unibrow drawn on his face. He initially didn't know how to react. He wasn't sure whether or not he wanted to burst out laughing or keep silent and try to wake up from whatever absurd dream he was having.
The sound of your constant snickering has caught his attention. He gave you a blank look from behind. Well, there was no question now as to who the culprit was.
When Victor woke up, his face was priceless (even the business man who was sitting beside you found the state of your coach to be rather funny but he did a great job of keeping it all in). You could no longer keep your laughter in. However, your amusement was short lived since Yuri scolded you something fierce. You felt like a child again. He had made you apologize to the silverette who was having a difficult time erasing your 'master piece' from his face. It was a permanent marker after all.
You gave a rather half-assed apology and even helped Victor with his predicament (even though you thought that he should have seen this coming with him not swapping seats with you and all. He really shouldn't have been stingy. You really just wanted to sit beside Yuri). You could say that Victor was...collateral damage? He was in your way after all.
Long story short, the trip to Beijing was rather eventful. It was fun while it lasted. You did not leave empty handed though. Little did Yuri or Victor know that you had some 'insurance' with you. You were grateful that you were able to take pictures of your 'mustachioed' coach before he could even erase your scribbles.
After that whole fiasco was over, the three of you managed to check in to your hotel in one piece. The receptionist just gave the three of you a curious look, wondering why one of you had black smears all over his face.
"Actually, there's a funny story there..." You admitted with a smile on your face.
The receptionist actually gave you her attention, interested on what you had to say.
You placed a hand on Victor's shoulder and the silverette gave you a small glare, "This guy over here is- mrph!"
You would have gladly explained the situation but Yuri silenced you by placing a hand over your mouth. There was no time to rest because the three of you have yet to appear at the rink as soon as you have left your luggage in your rooms.
You sighed. It couldn't be helped you supposed. The only bright side you see from this is that the earlier you could get this over with, the sooner you could lounge about.
You were not that keen on having to go to the rink just to be interviewed. You would rather have Yuri and Victor do all the talking. Unfortunately, making an appearance is a must.
On the way there, Victor gave the two of you a rundown on the other skaters. He was still a bit miffed at you for drawing on his face earlier. Lucky for you, Victor was a rather good sport...at least you hopped that he wasn't secretly plotting out his next move.
It was no surprise that the moment the three of you got to the rink, you were already swarmed by a bunch of reporters. The main topic of their interest however, were the bold themes you and Yuri had both chosen for this year's season.
The two of you answered questions to the best of your ability (you mostly just gave curt and vague answers, opting for them to just figure it all out later on). Yuri on the other hand got stumped on one of them.
"H-how much power of love do I have...?" He scratched the back of his head, unsure, "Well...that goes without saying..."
Victor was getting tired of all the reporter's questions and was nudging the both of you, "C'mon you two, let's go out to eat already. I'm starving."
Your brow twitched in annoyance, "It was your idea to come here and answer these questions so could you at least bear with it 'til the end?"
Victor paid you no heed as he soon noticed his own former coach walking pass him. Without missing a beat, he trailed after Yakov, holding onto his jacket as they walked with Victor inviting him over to eat hot pot with you guys.
Well...there ends both your interviews.
Yakov suddenly stopped in his tracks and stared his former student down.
You blinked. You could have sworn you heard a very familiar guitar riff in the background (funny...it might just be you, but you thought that was only reserved for a certain grumpy ass kitten ).
"Victor! I feel sick when you're out there playing pretend-coach," the grouchy man stated, "I'd prefer you only talk to me when you're ready to plead for your return to skating. Got that?"
That was rather harsh, you thought.
Victor blinked and took his former coach's words in stride and led you and Yuri away, "It seems Yakov's not interested. Let's go~"
You eyed Victor carefully as you walked. Outside he was smiling but behind his easy going smile...somehow, Yakov's words got to him. You just knew it.
