He shoved his hands down the pockets of his jacket as he navigated through the lobby, stomping his feet and taking great pleasure at the few wary stares he was garnering from passerbys.

Seeing Victor again had further dampened Yuri's already sour mood. Annoyance was written clearly in his face and his mind was shrouded with rather unpleasant thoughts.

It was just...the nerve of that guy! He could not believe he even had the audacity to act friendly with him all of a sudden even after he had made it absolutely clear that he wanted nothing to do with him or the pig for the rest of their stay in Moscow. Though his earlier display of hostility was uncalled for, the fifteen year old was certain that it was not unwarranted. In his defense, Victor should have known better and seen it coming. Surely he would have known us much not to engage him especially after all that has transpired...

Oh wait, this was Victor he was talking about. The man could be oblivious to some things if he wanted to be.

He grumbled incoherent curses under his breath.

There was little he could do in avoiding him now seeing as they would meet up again sooner or later in the competition proper and not only that, he'd be going head to head with the older skater-turned-coach's protégé in the rink. He figured that the best course of action right now was to find his suite and go to bed. Hopefully after a good rest he would wake up in better spirits and forget his little encounter with the silverette earlier that evening.

He neared the elevator and immediately pressed the 'up' button. He checked the number which was displayed on the little screen situated above its doors and it read '7'. Top floor. He clicked his tongue in annoyance. It was going far too slow for his liking. With his patience running thin, he impatiently jabbed the up button a couple more times, hoping that by doing so, it would cause the elevator doors to open quicker. The sooner he could get to his suite, the sooner he could sleep.

However, it seemed as if the elevator was purposely being indignant and went even slower than he expected it to be...or was that just him? He scowled and glared at the little screen in contempt. And then, his eyes widened. He could not believe that he was reduced to having a petty non-existent argument...with an elevator.

He kicked at the elevator door out of spite. It was a soft enough kick that no one paid him mind or took notice but hard enough to make a small scuffing at its once pristine surface. He felt rather accomplished...but it did absolutely nothing to speed up the elevator. It was still stuck on the fourth floor. He pinched the bridge of his nose in aggravation and let out a rather exasperated breath.

He was about to incessantly press the up button again when something from the corner of his eye caught his attention. For the briefest moment, he saw a figure with a familiar mop of (h/c) hair pass by the corridor adjacent to where he was standing. He had to blink at least twice to make sure he wasn't just seeing thing before he made the decision to tail said person.

He felt like he was an undercover spy with the way he was following (not stalking - there is a difference) you around. He couldn't get a good look at you since you were too far away but you seemed to be alone at the moment. You were standing by the front desk, asking the receptionist for something, he couldn't tell.

He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that you were here in Russia. You surely weren't here on vacation. Last time he saw you was when he forced you to video chat with him. He was certain that you would have wanted nothing to do with the competition, especially so soon after...unless...

The thought that crossed his mind made him grit his teeth in frustration. He was seething.

Could it be that you were here to still support the pig even after all that has happened? He wasn't having any of it!

Forgoing any of his stealthier approaches, he stormed over to you and grabbed you harshly by the arms and started shaking you, making you abruptly face him, "What the hell do you think you're doing here?! You just decided to fall off the face of the earth like that and suddenly decide to drop by? Don't you have any idea just how much trouble you caused...me..."

It was only then that he realized that the person he was violently shaking wasn't 'you'.  Instead in front of him was a young woman whom he had absolutely no idea who she was with the same shade of hair as you as well as the same built but the feature of interest now was the frightened expression she wore on her face. She practically became as pale as a sheet.

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to- I thought you were someone else..." He slowly let her go and as soon as he did, the poor woman ran in the opposite direction with fear still very much evident in her eyes.

He was seeing things now, he was sure he was.

He sighed and he turned just in time to see the receptionist and a few other onlookers give rather disapproving glances his way. Which was great, just absolutely great. It was just what he needed at the moment. Just another thing to add to the already growing list of things that has basically ruined his initially good day. Please note the sarcasm.

Just as he was about to walk away from the scene, he bumped into someone's back, "Quit blocking the way," he said, his voice was clipped. He knew that he should have said something which was more...polite but as of now, he did not give a damn. He did not care what others thought of him and he decided to just throw every precaution out of the window. Everyone was already staring, he might as well be as rude as hell and give them a damn show.

"Well that wasn't very nice, wasn't it?"

He stiffened as he heard those words...that voice was-

The person he had bumped into slowly turned to face him and they gave him their signature smirk, a gesture that he didn't realize he'd miss after so long, "What did that poor lady do to be at the receiving end of the grumpy ass kitten's fury?"

He could not believe his eyes. He took in the sight of the person in front of him and tried to pinch himself to make sure he was not delusional. Nope, the person in front of him was not a figment of his imagination nor were they a product of his alleged psychosis. Right in front of him was in fact...you. The real you.

"(Y/N)?"

"In the flesh!" You chirped.

He fell silent.

You snickered softly at his stunned expression and waved your hand in front of his face, "Yurio? Are you in there?"

He blinked and shook his head, "Yeah..."

You grinned, "Good. For a second there I thought I lost you."

After all this time...all this time of him worrying, waiting to hear word from you but now...you were here in Russia, in the same hotel as him...in the same lobby as him. He still could not believe it. He was momentarily, at a loss for words. He did not know what to say.

"Yurio? What's wrong?" you asked as the blonde skater grew silent once again which worried you because as far as you knew, he was rarely ever silent. You were sure that he would even outlive god if it meant he could get the last word in one of your arguments so seeing him so quiet not only was a cause of concern but also a cause for you to grow baffled, "Cat got your tongue?" you teased.

And just like that, something clicked in him. Since he could not formulate the right words to say in this particular situation, he decided to speak with his actions which is by far, louder than words. So he did the first thing he thought of...

And harshly bonked you in the head.
