Have you ever had that feeling wherein it is as if nothing can touch you? It's almost like you are in a world of your own wherein everything is the way they should be, everything was in order, everything was great, everything was okay. At the moment, that was what Yuri Katsuki had felt. It was a state of euphoria or maybe that of contentment. Everything seems to be going his way. The thrill of being able to prove to himself and to everyone else that he had a right to be there was still hot in his memory. It was as if the deafening cheer of the audience was still ringing loudly in his ears. He could still feel a slight buzz in his head as the fact that he had just beaten his personal best again dawned upon him, never mind that he was knocked right out of first place. His whole body still felt jittery with excitement. Now he only had the free skate to deal with tomorrow.

Should this continue at this rate, he would most likely breeze through the Grand Prix Finals. He would just have to give it everything he's got! He felt as if though he could conquer everything that stands in his way!

He chuckled softly to himself as his cheeks flushed red at the thought. The sudden surge of confidence was...kind of refreshing. If he had said all that out loud, you would, without a doubt, agree whole heartedly. He could already imagine you pouting indignantly, daring him to say otherwise.

It was rather comforting, to know that you would be by him every step of the way.

On another note, he found it rather amusing to call Yurio out on one of the more embarrassing nick names you had coined for him. Not to mention the fact that you had done so unabashedly, not caring as those around you looked at you oddly. The blonde would most likely get back at you for it though. There really wasn't a dull moment when it came to the two of you.

Speak of the devil and he should appear.

"Oi, pig."

The dark haired skater swallowed thickly and cautiously turned to face the owner of the voice. He did his best to keep his own voice from wavering as he spoke, "You did great out there, Yurio,"he still wanted to say something more but then fell short as he didn't know what else was left to say to the fifteen year old.

The blonde simply scoffed as he haughtily looked away and crossed his arms in front of his chest, "As if I need to hear any of that from you."

And then there was silence. It wasn't all that uncomfortable to be honest. It was certainly much better than having the younger skater rip his head off with any more of his biting remarks and jabs regarding what happened. Yes, the silence was very much appreciated.

This could be considered as good a start as any he supposed. At the very least, he doesn't feel as wary to be within such close proximity to the younger skater anymore. Yes, the Russian fairy's gaze still pierced his soul, instilling the sensation of fear to his very being but the main difference was that there was less - how should he word this - murderous intent? The 'make-one-wrong-move-and-I'll-end-you' vibe that he previously felt was toned down considerably which was a good thing in his book. He still needed to be cautious and keep his guard up just in case.

One thing's for sure, Yuri Plisetsky is uncharted waters in regards to his temperament.

Still, he was walking on thin ice so to speak. He understands that ever since...the incident, the younger skater took it upon himself to look out for you when he should have been the one to do so. There isn't a day that goes by wherein he does not regret ever letting it happen in the first place. He could still tell that there was still some underlying resentment under his fellow competitor's rough exterior for what he has done to you. He knew that gaining his good graces, much less his forgiveness wouldn't be so easy.

He should be grateful. Yurio is truthfully a big softie. The teen would never admit it out loud but it is obvious to those who knew him well that he had a bit of a soft spot for you.
