Yuri Katsuki didn't have the luxury to feel at ease at the moment. He didn't even have the luxury to make a quick escape since he was practically boxed in.

It didn't take long for this former coach to arrive at the scene.

He kindly waved to their group and Phichit instantly called him over.

Yuri thought that he had already cleared the air with Celestino weeks ago when he had called about the music selection for his free program. It was still a heck of a lot different from actually seeing him again in person.

It wasn't that he dreaded seeing the man again. It was far from that actually. He just didn't expect to see him again so soon. He couldn't point his finger at it, but he still felt rather awkward at meeting his former coach again especially since Victor was practically sitting right beside him.

He could picture it now, having to explain all of the events that lead into this. Wouldn't that be fun?

It took him a rather long time to formulate a greeting but fortunately for him, you had already beat him the punch.

"Long time no see, Ciao ciao," you beamed brightly, "How's it going?"

The older man narrowed his eyes at your direction and after a while, he sighed, "Seriously (Y/N)...after all this time do you still have to call me that?"

You shrugged unapologetically, in fact you were quite pleased that the nick name you had for your former coach still had somewhat of an effect on him. If anything, he looked mildly disgruntled, "What? If Phichit gets away with calling you that, why can't I?"

Celestino rubbed his temple at your remark, "I swear (Y/N), you are a bad influence."

You chuckled good naturedly, "I would resent that...but I'm proud of it."

After introducing Victor and Celestino to each other, you guys made room for him in the booth. You all settled with catching up with each other. It has really been a long time since any of you saw each other (not counting the numerous video chats - it just wasn't the same). Victor even piped in from time to time, cheerfully joining in on the conversation.

Everything seemed fine and dandy if it weren't for a certain dark haired, bespectacled skater who has opted to stay silent during the whole exchange.

Yuri was unsettled, there was an uncomfortable feeling churning at the pit of his stomach. He would like to think of it as indigestion but he barely even touched any of the food on the table.

Finally taking notice of a said certain someone's silence, Celestino sent a warm smile towards his former student's way. He knew, more or less, what Yuri was so anxious about. He has known the kid long enough to pick up on his uneasiness. He was probably still mulling over how things ended up last time.

Yuri tensed at the sudden attention. Celestino couldn't resist letting out a small chuckle. It was such a 'Yuri - like' response. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Celestino was tactful enough not to raise a comment on it though.

"So how about you," he started, "How's training with Victor treating you?"

He fidgeted in his seat, anxiously tugging at the sleeves of his shirt, "It's been great," he replied and at the same time he mentally cursed himself at his lackluster response. He forced himself to send a rather strained smile towards his former coach's way, "I-I've learned so much."

Celestino sighed, "Now I could only hope that a certain someone is keeping up with you in practice," he sent you the briefest of glances which nearly made you choke in mid-gulp of your drink. It was rather painful and had you rendered you in a coughing fit. You almost did a spit take in front of your coach and boyfriend.

Talk about embarrassing.

Phichit the saint rubbed soothing circles on your back.

You narrowed your eyes at the man, "Don't say stuff like that Ciao Ciao," you wiped your mouth with a napkin, "I'm holding my own just fine."

He just gave you a blank look, "I bet you still slack off during practice."

Victor chuckled, "It has happened once or twice."

Celestino shook his head. He looked like every bit the doting parent scolding his child, "Reaching success isn't easy and it certainly isn't for the lazy."

"Victor...whose side are you on anyway?" You whined. Your shoulders sagged and you slumped in your seat, "Alright, alright I get it. I'll work harder. You didn't have to word it like that."

"You'll make sure that (Y/N) does their best won't you, Yuri?"

He nodded, "I'll try harder as well."

The older man nodded, "Well that's good to hear. The important thing for you to do is give it your all. It also helps that Victor is around to help the two of you, isn't that right?"

"Hm? Oh yeah, right."

Victor pouted, "Oi Yuri...can't you be a little more happy."

His eyes widened and waved his arms about, "I-I didn't mean-"

You gave Victor a rather pointed look, "I'd expect that sort of reaction from Yuri. After all, you're vicious when it comes to practice."

Victor looked lost and tilted his head in confusion, "Eh?"

You crossed your arms in front of you and turned to your former coach, "You wouldn't believe it but Victor is such a slave driver," you huffed, "He's even worse than you, Ciao Ciao and that has got to be saying something. He wouldn't even let me go out for a snack break."

Yuri raised a brow at your statement, "Oh come on, (Y/N) it isn't that bad."

You gasped, "I...I can't believe the day has come..."

The rest of them were giving you odd looks now.

You glowered at Yuri and pointed an accusatory finger at Victor, "Whose side are you on?! Don't fall for Victor's charms! His propaganda's getting into your head!"

At that, everyone just sweat dropped.

You shook your head furiously, "No! I won't allow it, I won't let you fall into the dark side! I must save you from Victor's brainwashing!" You turned to Phichit and linked your arm with his, "You have to help me, Phichit. Yuri needs to be rescued!"

Phichit chuckled nervously. Trust (Y/N) to spout about something like this, "Um s-sure." He just had to play along didn't he?

"'Brainwashing'?"

Victor frowned slightly, "'Dark side'?"

Celestino smiled warmly at the scene.

Some things just never change do they?
