Traveling was nothing new for him. For some it would be considered exciting. The new sights to take in, new people to meet. For others, it would be daunting. There were those who far too anxious when it came to such things and not in the good way. Well...Yuri was leaning more towards the 'I'm-glad-to-have-made-it-here-in-one-piece-but-at-the-same-time-I'm-kind-of-nervous-about-this-whole-thing' side of the spectrum. Having gone on many trips both in and outside the country because of competitions, the dark haired skater grew rather unfazed of what came with such long travels. And considering he has been to Russia before (honestly, traveling back here unearthed rather painful memories of his crushing defeat), he did not think he would have to go back so soon. There were, more often than not, times wherein the fact that he was there because he would be competing would sink in on him and cause pre-program jitters. The fact that he wasn't that acquainted with the rest of the other competitors didn't help his case much either.

If only he could find you.

As soon as you had gotten into the room the two of you had to share (it was a no brainer considering it would save a whole deal of trouble) and tossed your bags on top of the bed, you had vacated the room just before Yuri was even able to unzip the jacket he was wearing that time. He stared wide eyed at your retreating form and partially heard the excuse that you had uttered as you passed by him.

You said you were going to look for a stray...Whatever that meant.

It wasn't a matter of safety. He knew that you could handle yourself, it was a fact that you liked to remind him of from time to time. But rather he was at a loss as to what he should do. The most practical course of action would be to stay in the suite and wait for you to come back. But he had no idea what you were up to and neither did he know what time you would be deciding to return. He also did not like that he would be alone for that matter. He already tried contacting you on your cellphone which resulted in nothing but a dead line. You  must have turned your device off.

He sighed. Of all the times you choose to wander about.

It wasn't that he was being clingy or anything of that sort. Your actions as of arriving at the hotel were just a bit...perplexing. He did not have anything better to do anyway. You had ran off to who knows where, Victor had taken it upon himself to handle the press and he could not understand a word of Russian to save his life so watching the television was out of the option. He finally came to the conclusion that he would just go and look for you and maybe try to pull you out of whatever situation you had landed yourself into (it was simply such a common occurrence for you to get yourself into something that assuming that you did already became second nature to him). He supposes that it would be better than just staying cooped up in the room and waiting.

He had already scoured the floor he was currently in. He thought that you would most likely just go down to the lobby.

He walked towards the elevator and pressed the 'down' button and patiently waited, choosing to look at the small screen situated on top of the doors as a means of distracting himself. It wasn't that long until someone else decided to join him in the wait. He slightly glanced to his left and immediately looked away as soon as he had recognized who it was. *

Standing beside him was none other than his fellow competitor in the Rostelecom Cup, Seung Gil Lee from South Korea.

He wore a blank expression on his face as he too watched the number displayed on the small screen...actually, now that he had deliberated upon the subject further, his expression wasn't all that 'blank' per se...it looked more like indifferent...or bored...?

Yuri did not know what to do. He was as stiff as a board at the moment. Was he supposed to say hi...or start a conversation with him? He was having an inner battle with himself as to whether or not to approach him or something. Surely Seung Gil had seen him glance his way. Wouldn't it be weird if he just stood there and did nothing to acknowledge the guy? He wasn't in anyways familiar, much less friendly  with the other skaters here this time. He only knew their names and what they looked like, that's it. He had hoped to have encountered someone he actually knows well instead.
