Another Secret To Keep, At Least For Now

Chapter 3

Moana's POV

 After storming off, I ended up at my parents' hut, letting out even more ugly sobs where Maui couldn't see me. A small part of me feels bad for telling Maui I hate him and calling him a monster, but honestly for the most part he deserved it. Him not being in love with me upsets me tremendously but what upsets me the most out of everything is how suddenly he sprung it upon me. He didn't give me any hints that our relationship would be coming to an end. It makes me wonder if he was playing me for the whole year that we dated. Given his reputation of being a trickster, I wouldn't be surprised if he did. 

  I just need some time to cope with the heartbreak and move on. I don't want Maui to leave Montonui though. I had my father go down and talk to him. It seemed to go okay because Maui agreed to stay despite what went down earlier. I'll apologize to him in a few days time. In the mean time, I'm going to hide out in my parents and I's huts and let out my ugly and sad cries in solitude. I think that in due time, I'll be able to forgive Maui completely, though the one thing that might truly make me hate him is if the reason why he broke up with me is because he's in love with someone else...

Maui's POV

Moana's father came down to talk to me earlier. He slapped me a few across the face so my face is now bruised on both sides. I deserve it though. I deserve whatever hell the universe plans on inflecting upon me. I'm such a dumbass. I care about Moana so much. I can't believe I lead her on like that when I've started to fall in love with someone else, whom is someone who despised for centuries and I haven't seen much these days. I hate to hide anymore secrets from Moana, but I really need to keep this to myself, at least for right now. Moana's father will have my throat if he knows who I've developed intense feelings for. I'll give you a hint though, it happens to be a certain half monster, half human in Lalatoi who's obsessed with shiny things...

Hoped that you guys liked this chapter! I'm sorry I didn't update yesterday. I had a long day at work and then I went to the movies afterward to see Guardians of The Galaxy 2, which was amazing by the way.
