Chapter 73

Maui's POV

  Tama and I are just eating dinner by the fire we built down on the shore for warmth since it's a little chilly tonight when Mo comes walking towards us. I give a warm smile but it disappears when I see that her eyes are red and puffy and no amount of happiness is radiating from her. Tama can sense he to because his eyes meet mine. Both of us know what this is about but don't want to say it aloud because then it will be real. I reach out and pull Mo into my lap. Tama doesn't mind because I've done it before and he's used to me doing it with Mo. "Mo, what's wrong?" Instead of speaking, she sobs into my chest. I stroke her hair and kiss her forehead until she has let all of her tears out.

   Tama sits down beside us and takes Mo's hands in his. "Mo, we hate to see you like this. Can you please tell us what happened?" Mo looks at both of us with very sad eyes. "Loi broke up with me. He doesn't trust me and told me straight out that I'm not good enough for him." I look at her in shock. "Loi really said those horrible things to you?" Anger pumps through my veins and I ball my hands in fists. "I'm going to kill that son of a bitch." Mo suddenly jumps up and grabs my shoulders. "MAUI NO!" I cup her chin gently. "Mo I love you but you can't stop me from doing this." I then give Tama a quick kiss on the lips. "I'll be back Tama. I know that you want to join me but I don't think Mo should be alone right now." Tama nods in agreement. "I'll be right here. Give me all of the details though okay love?" I grin manically at him. "Oh I will."

     I wander through the village until I find Loi standing outside of Mo's hut. I can't believe he has the nerve to show up here especially after what he did to Mo not even two hours ago. I grab him by the throat and grin as his face rapidly turns blue. "You are the biggest piece of shit I've ever met Loi. You're a disgrace to everyone who lives in this amazing village. So here's what you're going to. You're going to leave Mo's hut, go to your hut, back your things, and sail away forever. You are hereby banished from Montonui." Loi looks at me in shock as the air leaves his lungs. He's gasping loudly. "M-Maui, I-I will do as you say. Just please put me down." I smirk at him. "Gladly you giant shack of shit." Loi glares at me and takes a moment to recover from my death grip. He then starts to get up. "There's one more thing I forgot to do." I make my fist collide with his face, giving him the hardest punch I've ever placed upon a mortal.

   Loi growls at me but doesn't swing back. Instead he storms off and goes to his hut. I smile triumphantly a little while later as I watch Loi carry a large bag of belongings to pack onto his boat. Once everything is packed, he sails away taking his last ever look at Moana, and is off to who knows where. I really don't care where we goes to as long as he never comes back. If he does come back, I'll kill him. I mean it. I will pierce a knife through his heart. We all thought that he was the one for Mo but once again Mo's heartbroken and Tama and I plan on picking up the pieces of it. I just hope she doesn't try to kill herself again because if she does, I might not be able to save her this time and that would truly break me.
