Chapter 27

Moana's POV

Three days later...

 Today's my last day of training and I'm thrilled. As much as I've loved spending all of this additional time with Maui and Tamatoa, I'm happy to finally have my powers mastered for the most part. Plus I can tell that Tama's itching to have some time with Maui. He's too nice to say it directly, but it's written all over his face. I'm going to give him just what he wants after today. Maui approaches me snapping me right out of my thoughts. He puts a gentle hand on my back to guide me over to our usual spot to put my powers in action. 

   I spend at least an hour and a half practicing each of my abilities. By the time I'm done, I collapse onto the ground in exhaustion. I sit for a few minutes with Maui and Tama to catch my breath before getting back up. "Maui, Tama, thank you for both for all of your help. Thanks to you guys I know how to use my powers without causing mass destruction. I really appreciate it. I also know I've deprived you two of some quality time alone together. I'll try my best to give you both some space for a little while." Maui and Tama take me by surprise, both spinning me around and giving me warm hugs. "We may have felt that way at first Moana, but we're over it. You're our best friend. We love having you around. As long as nothing too serious is going on, then you're more than welcome to be around us anytime. If that something serious involves you, then you definitely should be involved in the discussion and process of finding a solution to the problem."

  I throw my arms around both of them and give them kisses on the cheek. "I love you both. Thank you for being a part of my life. You guys changed it forever in the best way." Maui and Tama blush and return both the tight hugs and kisses on the cheek, causing me to blush as well. I then giggle and wave goodbye to them, going off to run some errands in the village while they do... well whatever they usually do when I'm not around.
