Chapter 82

Moana's POV 

Time skip... one month later...

   I'm at my monthly check up with Tama and Maui right now to see how the babies are doing. So far so good so I'm hoping it stays that way. The doctor comes in on time and greets all of us with a warm smile and kind regards. "Are you three ready to find out how your babies are doing?" We all nod eagerly and the doctor begins running a series of tests. When she's done, she comes back to us with the same warm smile on her face. "Your babies are doing just fine and growing as they should." I squeal in delight. "That's wonderful news! Thank you so much!" "You're very welcome. Do any of you have any questions for me?" Maui, Tama, and I all shake our heads no. "Then you're free to go. See you again next month." We say our goodbyes to her and head down to the shore for a bit to relax.

    Now that I'm over two months pregnant, I'm starting to show a lot and my normal walk is more of a waddle at this point. I feel like a penguin. My stomach on the other hand looks like a massive air balloon. I'm feeling a little insecure about it because I've always been a skinny girl and now Maui and Tama have to practically roll me home some days depending on what I eat and the intensity of my cravings. Maui comes up to me and puts an arm around my shoulder. "Aw Mo, you look just as beautiful as you did before, if not even more so. Thanks to those precious babies in your stomach, you have that glow to your skin." Tama nods in agreement and I can't help but smile at the two of them. They never stop trying to make me happy. "Well thank you. By the way, you two don't have to hang around. It's only if you want to. I know you both have a lot to do today."

   Tama swats my concern away. "Nonsense Mo, you and the babies are our top priority. You need us and we want to be here for you." I smile and slowly sit down in the sand. I let the water trickle my feet. Maui and Tama join me and for the first time in a month, the three of us relax and careless converse with one another about anything and everything. It's nice to be busy, but I also enjoy these peaceful moments of relaxation and not having to do anything, especially now that I'm an air balloon.
