"Hello Mabel. How are you today?" I ask my elder sister with a bright smile.
"What do you want Tristan." She says with glare.
Mabel and I have never gotten along. I was pretty sure she was also plotting against Arabella just as I had been. She new that the only reason I would come see her is if I need something.
"I need a chaperone. Arabella is drunk off her ass again. Care to step in?"
Mabel smirks evily. "No thank you. Maybe this one will actually kill you. That would fix half my problems."
"Hey! I thought you wanted to be the one to kill me?" I reply in mock outrage.
Mabel and I both crack up at the same time. It takes a minute for us to settle down. I have a hard time catching my breath after we stop.
"Brother, although you are right, that's one less person I have to worry about so I really don't care how it's done." She explains wiping a tear from her eye.
"I hate you with my whole being Mabel but I do love your honest." I sigh turning away from my sister.
My elder sisters were useless.... I still had one hope.
Just then that hope walks into the room in the form of my younger sister Christi. Of course she had her head in a book as usual.
"Christi! I 've been looking for you everywhere."I lie easily.
"Oh... what did you need brother?"
"A chaperone for my first meeting with a potential mate."
"What about Arabella or Mabel?" He asked hopefully.
"Arabella is drunk and Mabel is being mean." I sob into her chest knowing she will do anything as long as I cry.
I'm not good at acting ditzy but I can lay on the tears. Just ask anyone at my mother's funeral. They still don't suspect I killed her.
"Ok, ok. Mabel is a bitch. I'll go. I don't want you being unsafe." She says hugging me.
"Thanks Christi. Your the best." I smile up at her before running off.
As soon as I left the room a little body smacks into me.
"Tini!" I shout sternly, although truly happy to see the small girl.
She is the youngest of my siblings at ten. Her real name is Martina but everyone always calls her Tini. Shes practically my kid since I raised her.
"Sorry Tristan." She says looking up at me wide eyed.
"It's ok, but don't run in the halls again you could get hurt. Now go out and play." I scold.
"Yes brother." She runs out the front door ignoring my first order completely.
Oh well.
"Brother!" I look over and see Lindon coming my way.
"Yes?"
"I will be leaving now. Hunter, the man I'm setting you up with, will be here shortly. God I hate his father even more for having the audacity to name his son that. My pack doesn't even know I'm related to you so I must leave before he sees me." London explains.
What Lindon was refusing to about his name was that naming a newborn child that was very boastful. The parents won't know what type of position he would have in the pack. Naming him Hunter is like naming someone alpha. Your naming them in the hopes of what they would become. Hunter was a pack position just below alpha.
"Of course your pack doesn't know... whatever Lindon just go. I'll do my part now." I am a bit angry Lindon hasn't told his pack he is from here.
How did he avoid it? He has all our distinctive features. Dark hair, dark eyes, dark wolf.
"Good day and good luck brother. Who knows, this plan might crumble all because you can't close the deal with Hunter." He throws the insult over his shoulder as he leaves.
I just love my family.
I ate a quick lunch and waited for my new mate to arrive. It wasn't long before Adrian was rushing into the room, excitement written on his face.
"Tristan! He is here and he is HOT." Adrian squeeled.
"Come on babe, I'm standing right here." Anthony groaned at his wayalward husband.
"Whatever babe you know what I mean." He sighs.
I roll my eyes but nod to Adonis. "Let him in."
He nods back before going to meet our guest.
"Valentine, go get Christi, he will be chaperoning us today."
"Very well. Can you stop treating us like your subjects by the way?" He growls before leaving the room.
He knows that's not going to happen. He's too weak to really do anything about it anyways.
As I wait I decide to think about this. Wolves mate for life. Once I agree that I it. I will never be able to break our binding. Do I really want to go through with it just to gain power over my siblings?
Who am I kidding, of course I do.
