I stepped into the packed club. There were girating bodies all around but I was only looking for one tonight. I didn't know if coming here was the best place to find my mate but everyone told me that all the young mateless wolves hung out at Club Moon. I myself had never stepped foot in the place before today. I didn't see it befitting for a wolf in my station. This place also held many humans. Some new about us but most who did didn't come here. It was most likely the clueless ones that I could see in the crowd.

"Come on bro, we can sit in the VIP area with the other high ranked wolves and just watch the crowed. If you see or smell something go for it. If not no harm done." My best friend Ru advised as he walked towards the VIP area.

I could see a few soon to be Alpha's and Betas already sitting there. I nodded my head towards the ones I knew and considered friends. Marco, a full fledged Alpha, moved over for me to sit beside him. We chatted for a moment and spoke of upcoming events. I wasn't paying attention to the crowd like I should have been. It came as quite a shock when a small body crawled into my lap and placed his head on my shoulder.

Everyone in the VIP area growled at the human boy who seemed to have fallen asleep in my lap. The sound of the other wolves growling at the boy enraged me. I let out an ear splitting growl of my own, effectively silencing them.

"Is he yours?" Marco asked eyeing the boy.

"I think so. Why did he find me first though? He's human, he shouldn't be able to sense me. Look at him asleep in my arms as if he knows he's  completely safe with a stranger. Do you guys think he knows what we are?" I asked looking at the others.

"Maybe, but that still doesn't explain why he's drawn to you. My cousin Marla had a human mate. She practically had to force him to go out with her. He had no desire for her what so ever when they first met." One of the young Betas recalled.

"The only thing you can do is wait until he wakes to ask him about it." Ru shrugged. I nodded and looked down at the boy.

His hair was black, cut close on the sides and long on top, the same style most boys sported. Of course on him it looked ten time's sexier though. Everything about him was tiny compared to me. His feet didn't touch the floor as his head rested on my shoulder. I wanted to wake him but at the same time I didn't want to disturb him. I sighed in relief when I felt him stir against me.

"Where am I?" He mumbled adorably, as he wiped the sleep from his eyes.

"You are in Club Moon." I whisper not wanting to startle him. I wasn't sure he realized he had fallen asleep on me.

He blinked rapidly after hereing me speak and looked up at me. He showed no fear or worry or even self conciousnes at having fallen asleep on top of me.

"Sorry for falling asleep on you like that but I needed it." He says laying his head back down on my shoulder and looking as if he was going to go back to sleep.

"Umm... I don't mind but may I ask why your so comfortable?"

"I don't know. One minute I was walking around the club then I saw you. I almost fell asleep where I stood. I looked at you and felt so much relief. I thought 'now I can finally relax', and that is what I did. I haven't slept for real in years." He admits while closing his eyes.

It's obvious be just wants to go back to sleep so I don't ask any more questions. I run  my hand over his back as he drifts back to sleep.

"Well this is wierd... what are you going to do about sleeping beauty Alpha?" Ru asks.

"What do you mean? He's my mate. I am going to take him home and make sure he never needs anything again in his life." I say confidently.

Ru shakes his head as if he knows something I don't. "That would be fine if he were another wolf but he's not. He is human which means he has a family he needs to be getting back to. Unless you want police sniffing around?"

I sigh heavily knowing he's right. I wish I could just let my mate sleep against me for the rest of the night but he had to get home. I gently shake him back to consciousness. My cute little mate looks up at me confused.

"What?"

"Let me get you home and into bed. Tell me where you live so I can take you." I explained.

His eyes suddenly filled with tears and he hid his face in my neck. My stomach dropped at the sight of my mates tearfilled eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked panicked by the sudden change in emotion.

"T-the reason why I don't sleep enough is that I'm h-homeless. When I do sleep it's very light because I have to watch out for dangerous people." He explained.

"What?! No way!" I look him up and down but there is no sign of a homeless person in his appearance. His hair is neat and clothes are clean. "you don't look homeless."

He nods.

"That was what I was hoping for. I just turned eighteen yesturday and that meant a bunch of job opportunities now that I'm old enough. I spent almost every cent I had left on a hair cut and new clothes. I walked in here hoping they would need a waiter or something." He shrugs nonchalantly.

I wanted to rip my heart out at his words, it hurt so bad.

"Where is you family?"

He looked down at my chest as he answers. "Umm... they left in the middle of the night one day when I was thirteen. My parents and my older sister who was sixteen at the time. I don't know exactly what happens but-"

He had tried to stay strong as he spoke but cut himself off with a he pushed his face back into the crook of my neck. I looked around myself as if finally realizing there were still many Alphas and Betas watching and listening. It was definetly time to take my little mate home. I stood with him still in my arms and carried him towards the door.

"I'll bring the car around Alpha." Ru said bowing slightly and rushing over to the parking area.

I just wanted to get my mate home safe. He was still crying against me when Ru brought the car. He quickly opened the back door for me. When I tried to put my mate into the back seat he sobbed harder and begged me not to leave him. I of course crawled awkwardly into the back seat with him. He didn't make it easier as he refused to let me go for even a second.

He soon cried himself  unconsciousness. I held onto him tightly as he mumbled incoherently in his sleep. I caught a few words.

"Don't leave me."

I kissed his forehead and vowed never to leave him like his family did. The mate bond was such a crazy thing. I loved this boy like no other and I didn't even know his name.
