Jin put a finger on his lips so we turn quiet. I lean my head up a little so I can listen to the conversation. It's a nice touch that they lower the volumes on the sound system so the music is pretty much in the low buzz right now.

Qing: Why are you asking if there is a chance for me and Dayu to break up?

Lei: I just had this impression that you don't suit each other.

My eyebrow raised. Not suit each other? Again?

Let me tell you guys a secret. Everyone, in exceptions of our mothers, thought that we won't suit each other when they first see us together.

Even Xiao and Meng. Even Jin and Qing's other friends. Even Wang Zhu Gege and his mother. Even our fathers and Qing's sister.

They all thought Qing and I don't fit each other.

Why? I don't know too. I think we suit each other just fine. If you ask Qing he will tell you what he will say next to Lei.

Qing: (laughing a little) Dayu and I are perfect for each other.

Yeah that. I am falling for him again.

I heard giggles from the females and a soft snicker from a guy, I am guessing it is Lei.

Lei: Why do you say that?

Qing: (sounding bored) Why do I have to explain myself? Take that sentence as I said it. We are perfect together, Dayu and I.

I wince, my lover is starting to get annoyed. But like I said, if you don't know him you will not be aware that he is annoyed already.

Jin winced too. He knew Qing. He knew his friend is getting close to being angry.

Lei: Well I think you need someone better than him.

Jin almost lost his footing. He was shocked that his racecar friend said that. I was shocked too.

Why do people who meet Qing always assumes that he needs someone better than me? That he deserves more? I don't get it.

Where will Qing find someone better than me? Have you seen me? Qing won a fucking lottery when he got me!

Qing: (curiousity on his tone) Better? Who? You perhaps? (Sounding a bit amused now)

Deceiving. When Qing sounding amused means he is getting irritated now. Well if he is amused at me, it means I make him happy. Take my word for it. I don't annoy him.

Lei: (sounding confident) Why not? I think I can do what he can do and more.

Female #1: Can I volunteer too?

Qing laughed. Jin and I both winced. I wonder if his other friends with them on the deck are wincing too.

Qing: You are volunteering to replace Dayu in my life? All of you.

Lei and the females all answered yes then laugh. Jin shook his head at me apologetically. I just shrug.

Qing: Fine! This will be interesting. Uhm, let me think. Dayu can cook.

Female #2: I can cook. I am studying culinary arts.
