Reconnect

Qing is busy. He told the truth when he told me he will be busy taking care of his other business that he puts on the backseat when he did that drama in Shanghai.

The biggest concern are of course, his investments. He had endless meetings with people involved in his investments. Figures and documents to read and study. Decisions to make, if he's gonna pull out his money in one investment in favor of putting his money in a new investment or just let the investment there.

So many things to consider, Qing is putting his whole focus on it. Talking his Baba and Wang Zhu gege for advice.

Then there are his friends that missed him. They keep calling Qing when they heard he is back in Beijing and not busy in Shanghai anymore. They want him to join in the mahjong night again and drink with them.

Qing: Can I go?

Me: Sure. You miss them too.

Qing: But I planned to spend more time with you.

Me: (laughing a little) I am not going anywhere. Meet your friends. They are not just your friends but they are also your business associates and partners Qing. You have to talk to them. Meet them and come back here and I will be here. I am not going anywhere.

Qing smiled at me then hug me tight.

Qing: I am so lucky to have someone as understanding and as supportive as you.

Me: As long as you know that.

As long as he knew that and appreciate that then all is good.

So Qing went out to meet his friends. To party or to play mahjong or to talk business, I am not sure. He had worked hard in Shanghai, he should take some time now to be with his friends.

Maybe I will come to one of their gatherings. But not on the first time that they will see Qing again after so long. Qing must give them his full attention and not split it on worrying on me and his friends.

There will always be a barrier between me, a simple commoner, and Qing's ultra rich friends.

It's not that I am insecure or something. His friends had also mellowed down in intimidating the country bumpkin that Qing loves but there will always be a culture barrier between me and his friends.

But like I said before, Qing is not pushing the issues anymore. He is not insisting that I get along with his friends. As long as I am civil with them and they are not outright insulting me, we are all good.

Besides, I like some of Qing's friends already. There is Jin and Tien, a upcoming renowned chef and Yao, another businessman. See, they are all not that bad.

So I let Qing meet and spend time with them. That way, he can relieve some of his stress and guilt for not seeing them for some time.

While I am busy preparing for my fansigning event. It will be an intimate affair, just a number of fans for me to greet and spend some time with them.

That is important. To spend time with fans. To reconnect. To share more moments with them. So they will know that I still love them and I am still working hard to give them my best works. And to make them proud of me.

The fans, in return, to show that they still trust me and like me. It's a two way street and I am happy to meet my fans everytime.

I think I have the coolest fans. I sometimes stalk them in the social world. Liking their funny comments. Amazed at their skills in drawing fanarts. Laughing at their funny photoshopped pictures and feel warm at their loving and encouraging words.

My fans are cool. I really adore them. I mean, I will not be where I am in my career if not for them. They listen to my songs and support my projects. They are awesome.

(Hey, I build you guys up. I did good, right? *wink* I got your backs.)

So there, you now knew what is keeping me and Qing busy. We are busy reconnecting to other people.

Sometimes, it's easy to lose ourselves to our daily activities and own lovers that we forgot we have other people we need to take care of.

Family members. Long time friends. Fans. Co workers.

People that we sometimes overlook and take for granted. Which is actually not a nice thing to do but I know we all don't mean to do it.

Life just keep us too busy.

That is why we must stop sometimes and breathe and remember to reconnect with people.

It's importabt to reconnect to those people, you know. They also play a big part in your life.

Qing's friends are a big part of his life. He grew up with some of them and he do business with them. He should appreciate them.

My fans. They had been with me from the start. Supporting and loving me in the way they know. The least I can do for them is take some time to see them, look them in their eyes and let them see how I appreciate their support and love. Let them read my sincere feelings for them in my eyes.

I really look forward to that fansigning.

On a more personal note, Qing is asking me if I will have a stage show for my birthday. I said I hope so. I want to celebrate my birthday with the people who knew and love me.

Well see...there is still time.

Qing: You still don't know what gift you want to receive for your birthday?

Me: Don't pressure me. I can't think of anything I want, for real.

Qing: But if you have a prayer. What will it be?

Me: (smiling at him) I pray for your drama to be a success. I pray that my projects will be successes. I pray for health for everyone I love and know. I pray to see you smile everyday. I pray for more blessings. I pray for more birthdays so that I can make more wishes. I pray to spend them all with you beside me. And...I pray for World Peace! Thank you!

Qing laughed. I smile at him. Hearing him laugh warms my soul. I may not know what I want to receive for my upcoming birthday, but I think I already receive my biggest blessing.

Him. Wang Qing...and his love and affection. If those were not blessings, I don't know what is.
