Ski Vacation pt3

It started to simmer hotly when we are at our room. We are staying at this resort for 3 days so I decided to unpack the things we will need for those three days. Qing's ski jackets are my priorities.

Qing: (sitting on the foot of the bed while looking at me bustling around our room) Why not rest up, love? You can do that tomorrow. We will ski in the afternoon so you can get ready in the morning.

Me: I don't think I can join you tomorrow in skiing. My throat still feel scratchy and I don't want to catch a cold.

Qing: Did you take your medicine?

Me: Yes. But still, I want to play this safe.

Qing: You didn't eat enough during dinner. Are you not hungry? We can ring for room service?

Me: (smiling at him) I am fine Qing. Thanks.

Qing: (frowning) Okay. I give up. What the hell is wrong with you?

I turned to him.

Me: Nothing.

Qing: (disbelief on his face) Nothing? You have been smiling all night but not eating much. You do the things I told you to do without much argument. You've been speaking with this polite tone all night. What the fuck, Dayu...

Me: (surprised at his outburst) What is wrong with you? Is it a crime to smile now and be polite? And I thought you like me to be obedient?

Qing: (standing up) When? When did I asked you to be obedient to me?

Me: Ahm...all the time?

Qing: I tell you to do things for your own good but I never expect you to do them for me but for your own sake. But tonight, you are acting like this totally different person who I am not familiar with. Dayu, let me tell you a secret. The scariest moment for me is the moment you turn quiet and docile. Because I know your mind is working over and over about something so all your energy is in your brain that is why you don't have the energy to move and run around. Now, tell me, for fuck's sake what is going on inside your brain.

Me: (smiling) Nothing!

Qing gave me a long suffering stare.

Qing: Fine! If you want to play it out like this.

He turn to walk to the door.

Me: Where are you going?

Qing: Outside.

Me: (smiling) Okay.

Qing sighed heavenward and open the door to get out. He slams the door hard. So hard I think his sister heard it because she came inside out room together with Pau.

JiJi: What is going on with you and my brother?

Me: (shrugging and waving my hand) Nothing. He thinks I am overthinking again. And that there is a problem but really, there's nothing wrong.

Pau: Oh boy. When someone said there is nothing wrong, there is definitely something wrong. Is it that ex's presence?

JiJi: Ex? Whose ex? Lipin? dayu's ex?

Pau and I look at her then at each other. It looks like JiJi doesn't know about Qing's past relationships.

Me: Nothing. I am not bothered with anything.

Liar liar pants on fire.

JiJi: Well, you are not bothered but my brother sure is. With the way he slammed that door, he is bothered, a lot.
