I have to rant.

I did an interview and someone asked me again, "What is my ideal type?"

In which I answered truthfully, "I like girls with long hair and shapely legs."

It's what attracted my eyes to girls. If you have long hair and shapely legs, I will notice you. But that doesn't mean that I will approach you or stalk you or court you or something.

No.

I find it funny that people reacts when I say that I like girls with long hair and shapely legs like that is a crime.

Hey, to each his own. There's no accounting to taste. I like looking at girls with long hair and shapely legs. I think at least 1/8 of the male population in whole world like girls with long hair and shapely legs, so I am no one special.

But then you will all say, "Dayu, you are with Baba. And in case we are missing it, he doesn't have long hair although his legs are shapely enough...I guess,"

In which case I will say, "Hey, my legs are more shapely than Qing's."

Ha ha ha...okay seriously, people, can't you just take me and my words? Girls with long hair and shapely legs attract my eyes, but because they are girls. And like I said, I may look at a girl with long hair and shapely legs but that doesn't automatically mean I will flirt with that girl.

Chill the hell out.

I am in a relationship. A committed one. That basically mean I am off the market and cannot flirt with anyone. And even if I smile or flirt with a girl, which I am not saying that I will do, that also doesn't mean that I will sleep or fuck that person.

That will be cheating on Qing and will probably the last mistake I will ever make before my whole world shatters all over me. Because if I cheat on Qing, he will leave me and where will I be?

Alone and probably close to going out of my mind.

So...no...I won't cheat on Qing and by now you know my views on cheating so you can bet I will not do it. I think I am not built that way.

Going back. The question is my ideal type. And since I am a guy, I assumed it means my ideal type of girl.

Now, if someone will specifically ask me what is my ideal type in guys, I will probably be a bit shock at first that someone asked me that openly but then I will still answer and say, "Probably Wang Qing...okay, changed my mind. Most definitely, Wang Qing."

It will be funny, right? If someone will came up to me and ask me what is my ideal type in a guy. Imagine this, I am walking through the airport and someone will walk with me and ask that question, I will probably stop for a moment and laugh. Then answer...

I can also see myself deflecting and evading and not answering that question.

Anything is possible.

But so far, no one had asked me yet. I guess because this here is China and we are a conservative country. Sexuality is still a taboo issue. Homosexuality is a hush hush topic. Qing being overly private with his sexuality is the reason why he can live in peace. So I think he is living right.

China is a conservative country. I think that is an understatement. We have traditions and beliefs that span centuries and it will be really hard to break it. The prejudice and the norm of the society.

Gay rights are still not widely discussed here. Same sex relationships are still frowned upon. And don't start me on same sex marriage.

Are we brave? To keep those traditions and refuse to get with the modern time of accepting that those things exist? That same sex relationships are happening and same sex marriage are being legalized in so many countries right now.
