Draco is fluent in French, and Harry, after Hogwarts, learns German. So, when they both travel to Germany as Aurors, Harry makes it his goal to teach Draco German - and Draco is determined to teach Harry French. However, instead of learning their counterpart's languages fluently, they both adopt a mixture of German, French, and English that sounds like gibberish to outsiders - even to to Hermione, who is fluent in seven languages including those three - but makes perfect sense to them.
