Chapter 14

Harry walked into Marian's room and kissed her still lips gently before sitting down next to the bed.  "I love you, I love you so much, sweetheart. We all want you to get well. Faith is amazing and so much like you, it's crazy. Doesn't let me get a wink of sleep," he said with a small laugh.

He spent the next hour talking to her about Faith, how much he loved her. His plans for their future and his burgeoning new friendship with Louis.

As they drove, Kaia couldn't help but reach for Louis' hand. Ever since he was back, for whatever reason, she felt a sense of calm with him with their weird relationship.

"I'm glad you came and talked to her. You look a lot better than when you first got to the hospital." Louis said.  "Have any plans for the rest of the evening?"

"Wish I could sleep," she said and smiled at him sadly. "I have horrible nightmares," she admitted. "I'm glad I talked to her too," she said. She shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. "You got something in mind Tommo?"

"I was thinking you could sleep or take some me time. Zayn's called me and told me you weren't doing so well the past few days and I was thinking maybe if you trusted me to watch your children then Zayn could go to the hospitable and I would stay with you and help out. Have some one on one time the twins. Let Ahmir talk to me about his other mummy," Louis said giving her a sheepish grin. "Maybe?"

"You'd be willing to do that?" She asked. More than a little stunned. "I...I don't know what to say, Lou," she said.  "Zayn's told you how I've been?"

"Yes," he said with a shrug of his shoulders. "I would like to get to know your kids better. Plus now that you have talked to Marian your subconscious will let you sleep."

"I....I could make us some dinner or order take away and then maybe...maybe take a nap," she said.

"Sounds perfect. You might have to tell Ahmir it's okay to talk to me and Destiny is your daughter's name right?" he asked.  "I would like all of us to be closer, Kaia."

"I'd like that too," she said. "Yes, that's her name. Ahmir, Destiny and Karim."

"Ahmir is Marian's right," he asked wanting to make sure. "I have a few stories he might like to hear about his other mummy.  If that's alright with you."

She nodded with a smirk. "Yes, it's alright.  Yup, her little lion cub. She's probably going to call him that until he's old," she said. "And I would have to say that Destiny is in love with Uncle Harry and Karim..." she began. "He's all mine. My second chance at happiness baby."

"I hope to have that one day," he said giving her a half smile.  His time with Marian was good enough for him right now.  He pulled into the Malik's driveway.

Kaia got out of the car and waited for Louis to get out. "Thank you for this. For today. It...it means a lot to me."

"I'm trying to be a better person and all around human being. Second chances," Louis noted as he followed her into the house.

"Baby," Kaia called out for Zayn.

Zayn came into the kitchen carrying Karim and he smiled at her. "How'd it go?" He asked as he pulled her in for a hug.

"It....it was okay," she said and smiled as Karim all but launched himself into her arms. "Hello my love," she said. "Louis brought me home and...and he wants to spend some time with the children and he's...he's going to watch them if I decide to take a nap."

Zayn smiled and kissed her. "You need your rest too, baby," He said. He knew she tried to hide her nightmares from him. And that she wasn't sleeping. He looked up as Louis came into the kitchen. "Tommo," he said with a smile.
