Chapter 83

Ahmir glanced at Louis as they headed back to Marian's. "Uncle Lou."

"Yes, Ahmir?" Louis said as he made his way back to the Styles house.

"T said she'd like you to stay for dinner," he said a little nervous.

Louis raised an eyebrow at Ahmir. "Your aunt actually said that, did she?  Are you sure?"

"Yes.  She wants to thank you for taking me to see mummy."

"Well, that is very thought of her," he said thinking Marian was always too nice for her own good. He would love to spend more time with her before jerk face took her way. "Okay, tell your aunt I would love to stay for dinner." 

Ahmir grinned. "I'll let her know you've accepted her invitation."  He pulled out his phone.

 T, Uncle Lou and I are on our way back and I told him that you invited him to stay for dinner. 

 Ahmir!  Okay, I will add a place setting for him. It's almost done, we are having spaghetti by the way. It was your sister's pick.

Ahmir couldn't wipe the grin from his face. 

"T said dinner is almost ready!"

"I don't want to be in the way, Ahmir. Your aunt has a lot on her plate already." 

"I swear Uncle Lou, you won't be in the way. She really appreciates you helping out today."

As soon as Louis parked, Ahmir ran out of the car and into the house. "T! I'm back!"

"Ahmir!" Marian smiled as he saw him. "Come here," she said wanting to hug him, her little baby boy.

He hugged her. "Mummy has to spend the night at the hospital and papa said it would be okay if we stayed with you tonight."

"You can stay with me always."  Marian looked up to see Louis standing in front of her. "Hi...." she tried to say without blushing and failing.

"Hi..." Louis said. "Um, Ahmir said you invited me to join you for dinner." 

Ahmir watched them and couldn't help but smile. "I'm going to go talk to Destiny," he said and sprinted out of the kitchen leaving them alone.

"Four kids on my own," She laughed. "I wouldn't mind the help making sure they eat their dinner. That is if you don't mind if you have plans. I will understand." She twisted her fingers and tried not to ramble.

"I don't mind at all," he said. "Sometimes Miss Destiny can still be a handful," he said. "Do you remember when Zayn and Kaia were on their honeymoon and we were taking care of the twins and she...." he stopped talking and looked at her and then realized she probably didn't remember. "I...I'm sorry..." He stammered.

"Don't be sorry, I wish I could remember more," she smiled.  "Tell me more, I would like to find the parts of myself that are still missing. I want to be whole one day." 

"Are you sure?" He asked.

Marian shyly looked up and him and nodded.

"I...I had successfully given them both a bath and I had Ahmir changed and Destiny she..." he smirked at the memory. "She took off down the hallway, her nappie falling off. You stood there laughing at me as I chased her down the hallway."

Marian couldn't help her grin as he talked so full of life and love for the children. "That is a great memory. Did we watch the children a lot?"

"Off and on," he said. "They..they were with us for about two weeks while they were on their honeymoon. When we were watching them that's...." he couldn't help but stammer. "We found out you were pregnant with William."
