Chapter 75

Katia woke up her hubby and told him she would explain everything on the way home. Kaia was fine and they needed to get her some clothes for her.

Kaia woke up from her nap and saw that it was early afternoon. The nurses came in and checked her vitals and the doctor came in to give her some final instructions and then she waited for her sister to get back. She couldn't help but wonder how long it would take her and her husband to regain some of the trust that had been lost again.

Zayn picked up Destiny and Karim. Bruce asked what happened and Zayn told him that Kaia had gotten a bad case of food poisoning. As he drove back home he kept glancing at his children. He loved them so much and he loved their mummy more than anything. He knew his words to her were mean and hateful but he couldn't help it. He knew it wasn't totally her fault. He'd never done hardcore drugs like that so he honestly didn't know how a person could react or be. But the thought of her with him infuriated him. Katia's words haunted him as well and he knew there would be a lot of tension with them for quite a while.

Liam was a little hesitant to let his wife go and pick up Kaia by herself. Especially since she wasn't the best driver, the woman never knew when to get over and always missed her exit he thought to himself. Katia insisted that she was going to put a pause on her reservation for her sister. She wanted to do this for her sister to help her and hope to give her a good send-off. Once they were gone then she would discuss her feeling of annoyance and how her sister used to live her life. Compared to how she lives it now. Katia kissed her husband goodbye then went to the hospital with a change of clothes for her twin.

Kaia was flipping channels on the tv as she waited for her twin. She didn't even want to look at her phone so she turned it off.   As she waited she thought about her husband and knew it would take a lot of work for them to get to a good place again. She had broken his trust yet once again. She looked up when she saw the door open. She gave her sister a small smile. "Hey."

 "Clothes delivery," Katia giggled as she walked over to her twin.

Kaia smiled and took the duffel bag from her and placed it on the bed. She opened it and saw three different outfits in it. What looked like dress slacks and a blouse. Leggings and a hoodie. And jeans and a nice T-shirt. She let her fingers touch the jeans and a flood of memories came rushing to her. "Did you know these are my favorite pair of jeans?"

"No, I just grabbed the first thing I saw. I wanted to get a variety since I wasn't sure what you wanted to wear," she smiled.

Kaia pulled them out and held them to her chest. "These are the jeans I was wearing the first time I met Zayn," she said with a small smile

"They still fit?" she said jokingly "That is a great memory sis."

Kaia couldn't help but smirk at Katia's comment and then her eyes became misty as she laid the jeans on the bed along with the T-shirt. "Best day of my life," she said. "Was...was he at the house when you went?"

"Did you think it was the best day of your life on the day or is it in reflection?" She asked, "No, he wasn't."

"In reflection," she said and took off the robe and started to get dressed. "I couldn't even think straight that day," she admitted and she swallowed the lump in her throat trying to fight her tears. "Um, hey do you need to get home to Liam right away?" She asked.

"No, I'm my own woman. We have nothing planned," she said, "What would you like to do?" 

Kaia saw her makeup bag in the duffel bag as well but left it in there. She didn't really want to be anyone today. She just wanted to be Kaia. Wife, mother, and sister. She brushed her hair and pulled it into a high ponytail. It was incredibly long now again. She knew how much Zayn loved her hair long. She pulled on her tennis shoes and looked at her sister who was seemingly watching her intently. "Can we spend the day together?" She asked Katia. "That is if you don't mind being seen with your stupid, irresponsible and idiotic sister."
