Chapter 99

Marian spent the next day unpacking her things and trying to organize her flat only for her mother to tell her she put everything in the wrong place.

She was happy to see that Faith was in a cheerier mood but she wasn't looking forward to the interior decorating side of her mother. "Let you mother arrange things the way she likes and then when we're gone you can fix it the way you like. She will never know the difference," Her father explained. 

"Why is she is always telling me I have things in the wrong place. Especially at the house?" 

"Your mother and I are going on another cruise around the Mediterranean.  After spending time with Faith, your mother asked me to cancel. Told me she needed to help you more. Be a good mother.

"She is a good mother she doesn't have to prove it to me." 

"I know that but if you let her help it will ease her anxiety and she will let me go on my cruise."

"Okay, daddy. I will do this for you," Marian said kissing his cheek. 

"Thank you princess."

 Marian listened to her mothers advice on where things should be put for the next two days while Jeremy had fun playing grandpa.  

"Give grandma and grandpa kisses. They're going to go on a big boat," Marian told Faith who began to pout. 

"It's okay sweet pea," Jeremy said giving Faith kisses. "Grandpa will be back soon." 

"Love!" Faith kissed her grandfather. 

"Like mother, like daughte,r" Rosalie laughed. 

"Thanks, mother," Marian rolled her eyes. "Enjoy your cruise, remember we love you very much." 

"We love you too," Rosalie winked at her daughter. 

"I think it's your nap time." 

"No!" Faith shook her head. 

"Yes, I will make you a bottle then rock you to sleep. You love it when daddy does that." 

Knock.. Knock..

"Coming!" Marian shouted. "I will be back Harry, someone is at the door. Talk to your daughter some more."  They were having a Facetime call with Harry. 

"Dada!"

"Kaia, what's going on? Why are you here?" Marian asked as she answered the door. 

"We have a book signing today at Harrods's and there is a line around the block to meet you. We need to go and get you down there." 

"What?" Marian's eyes widened.

"Yes, I left you three messages yesterday. I have security down there already managing the crowd." 

"How did I blank on this?" Marian asked.  "Give me a minute to change and watch Faith she is on the couch talking to her dad." She made a mad dash to her room. Thank goodness she had done her face for Harry's call.

Kaia sat down on the couch next to Faith and waved at Harry. "How is the tour going?"

"The crowds are amazing and it's helping me forget that I'm alone up there." 

"Mine!" Faith said trying to push Kaia off the couch.

 "Looks like Faith is a little possessive of her time with you." Kaia laughed. 

"Yes, I only have about ten minutes with her due to my schedule. She evens likes to push Marian out of the picture or take the iPad away," Harry laughed. "She likes to have me all to herself."
