Kaia felt horrible for her sister. "Well, we can always celebrate it on the 28th if you'd like and then next year we should just celebrate our birthday twice in one month."

"I have missed so much," Katia admitted. "Sounds good to me."

Katia looked over and saw Marian had fallen asleep on the couch.  "Kaia, Marian has fallen asleep. Will she be okay, I'm afraid of losing her."

Kaia sighed heavily. "I'm scared too," she said. "She's going to tire more easily because her heart is working harder in its weakened condition. So she'll need more naps. We...we have to support her the best way we can. For...for however long she's with us," she said trying not to cry.

Katia placed a blanket over Marian and kissed her forehead and then picked up Faith.  "I think Faith is hungry. What do I do Kaia?  I'm alone with the baby."

"I'm sure there are bottles in the fridge," she said. "Get one out and beat it up in the microwave for like thirty seconds," she said.

"Thirty seconds?" Katia said walking into the kitchen holding Faith close.

She opened the fridge and saw the several bottles.  "How do I know if it's okay for the baby?" Katia asked. "I have never been alone with her."

"Switch to FaceTime so I can help you and you're doing just fine, sis," she said. "It's good practice."

"Thanks, Kaia," Katia set Faith in the bouncer seat located on the island in the kitchen. She hit the FaceTime button and smiled when she was face to face with her sister.   "Okay, the bottle is in my hand now what?"

"Don't put it in the microwave with the nipple on. Thirty seconds and then put the nipple on and shake it and it should be just warm," she said with a smile.

Katia nodded her head as she unscrewed the top of the bottle and placed it in the microwave. Thirty seconds later she was retrieving it and shaking it.  "How do I tell if it is okay to feed to her?" She asked looking over at Faith.

Kaia couldn't help but smile again. "It shouldn't be hot. Warm to the touch," she said. "You're doing a great job, Katia."

"Okay," Katia said "Thanks."  She walked over to the baby.  "How do I feed her the bottle? Is there a special way to hold the bottle or something?"

"Take her out of her bouncer and cradle her in your arms. Prop her head up slightly," she said. "And she'll know what you're giving her. You can do this," she said.

Katia nervously shook her head and did what her sister told her. She settled her phone in the bouncer as she picked up Faith.  "Hi sweet baby, I have a bottle for you." Faith took it happily and began to suck.

"I'm doing it, Kaia. She is taking the bottle! How do I look?"

"Like a natural," she said with a big smile. "Pretty soon I bet you'll be doing this with one of your own," she said. "See, she's eating."

"Well, I am no longer on birth control so I guess it will happen when it happens." She smiled. Amazed by how well this feeding was going.  "What do I do when she is finished with the bottle?"

"You went off the pill?" Kaia asked, slightly shocked. "Does Liam know?"

"Yes, we both agreed since we were getting married soon and that life is too short we shouldn't put things off, so we will let nature take its course."

Kaia couldn't help but smile. "Katia, I'm really happy for the both of you that you're doing that. Life is too short and children can make your life even happier."
