Wellness Resort pt3

When we emerged from our room after a refreshing nap, Qing and I found out that it is Zhu Gege who will stay with us in our bungalow.

We found him in the little kitchen of the bungalow, sulking.

Wang Zhu: My parents will stay with your parents, Qing. They will take one bungalow. Pau will be staying with your JiJi and brother in law.

Qing: (as he took one grape from the fruit basket on top of a counter) (snickering) After all the ruckus you raised outside, you still haven't managed to get Pau to stay in one room with you. You are losing your touch, Gege.

Wang Zhu: It's because Mama is plotting to let me meet a potential bride. I hate it already.

Qing ate his grapes while I frowned.

Me: Will the aforementioned potential bride be here at the resort?

Qing: Most probably. That is why Auntie is scrambling to put Gege in his best behavior. Auntie must be desparate to marry you off. Why?

Wang Zhu: (sighing) It's because of Baba's health.

Qing and I suddenly turned alert when he said that.

Me: (surprised) (worriedly) Why? Is there something wrong with Uncle?

Wang Zhu: Nothing to be alarmed about. But Baba's kidneys are not the same as before. The doctors are getting strict on Baba's diet and vices. Mama is getting beyond herself with worrying. But the doctors assured us that Baba just need to adjust his diet and activities a bit to maintain a good balance on his health.

Qing: Let me guess, that kind of assurance is not enough for Auntie.

Wang Zhu: (grimly nodding) She doesn't want Baba to die without seeing his grandchildren from me. How dramatic is that? She was crying when she said that too. Baba and I are disturbed, asking if Mama really thinks Baba will just suddenly die on us. Anyways, Mama convinced Baba to agree with her and now, I am being royally ordered to marry and sire children, Wang Qing. Stop laughing, it's not funny...

Qing: (laughing) But it is..,

I elbowed my lover but there is no stopping Qing from finding amusing things about Zhu Gege's predicament.

On my part, I pity Zhu Gege. But he is closely approaching the big 3-0. I mean, males don't have biological clocks but I think it's also not a lose if Zhu Gege will start thinking about a family.

The problem is his association to Pau. Zhu Gege's parents are expecting him to marry a girl. I don't think his parents are aware that Zhu Gege is bisexual. Unlike Qing, who is unforgivably gay, Zhu Gege can be attracted to women and marry one if he will want.

But then again, we will go back to Pau. And the "thing" the two of them have. They both say it's not serious...but I don't know. I think I am old fashioned and an old soul. I cannot get "not serious" relationships and "open" relationships. And frankly, I don't want to care as well. I want to do what Qing suggested, enjoy the days in this wellness resort and relax before I will fly away to shoot a project.

Relaxation before working. That's what holidays are all about, right? Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Qing: Well, we can all discuss this thing for days and it will not take us anywhere. Might as well just enjoy whatever this is that our mothers planned.
