Babysitting

There was a stand off that happened inside our condo. It was between me against a visitor in my home.

The Goddess finally called me out to my promise to her when I expressed my willingness to babysit for her.

(The Goddes left her baby to you?)

Well...she left her "baby" to me to babysit. Except this baby has ginger fur and a swishy tail.

(Carlos...)

Yes. Carlos is my visitor. The Goddess' ginger tabby cat that is half mean to me and the other half...is meaner to me.

(So Carlos is just basically mean to you?)

Well...yeah. Carlos is basically mean to me. But I am confident that by the end of this babysitting session, Carlos will finally love me.

Qing and I discussed it on the night I learned about this babysitting job.

Qing: (via phone call) What if that cat scratch you again? What about rabies?

Me: Carlos is updated in his rabies shot.

Qing: (chuckling) No...no Love. I am not worried that the cat will pass his rabies to you. I am worried that you will pass your rabies to the cat. That poor cat...tsk tsk...

Me: Wang Qing!

Qing laughed on the other line. The weird man is tickled.

(It was a funny joke)

No! It's not funny! Qing is not funny. Someone should tell him that.

(You are his lover. Tell him...)

Oh I did.

Me: (sullen tone) You are not funny.

Qing: I am plenty funny. Anyways, be careful. If that cat scratch you again I will throw that cat over our balcony.

Me: Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha

Qing: (sounding confuse) Why are you laughing?

Me: You are joking. That's why I am laughing.

Qing: (serious tone) I am not joking.

Me: (eyes widening) You are not joking? You will really throw the cat over our balcony.

Qing: Yes.

Me: WTH?! Are you even human? Why will you do that to the poor cat?

Qing: Because he scratch you.

Me: He is a cat, it's his instinct to scratch when he feels threaten.

Qing: Then he should not scratch you because you are the least threatening person I know.

Me: I am plenty threatening.

Qing: Ha Ha Ha. Ha Ha Ha.

Me: Why are you laughing?

Qing: Because you are joking.

Okay...at this point I feel like this conversation is a deja vu. Except reverse. So it's reverse deja vu.

Me: (pouting tone) I am a badass. I can kick your ass, Wang Qing.
