Dreams Do Come True pt2

Our anniversary trip started nice enough with a relaxing flight from Beijing to Jeju. The direct flight will last for two hours and forty minutes, estimated.

It's chilly in Jeju when we land there by 8am. But the sun is shining and the sea breeze is strong as we exit the pleasant Jeju airport.

Me: (arms raised in the air) Ah! This is nice.

Qing smiled at me. Happy to see me happy. Like I said, the man is crazy about me.

Qing: (holding my hand) Come on. I rented a car for us.

Hand in hand we walked through the airport's parking lot. This is what's fun in travelling abroad. We can be what we need to be because people don't know us here.

Sure, we are celebrities in China but here is Korea...I won't delude myself to thinking that people know me here. They have good looking Korean Stars here like Song Joong Ki and Kim Soo Hyun to pander to.

So Qing and I strolled hand in hand without a care to the world.

It's so nice.

We got to the car Qing rented. A heavily tinted SUV with a good navigation system because it pointed us to our hotel without a hitch. Qing was satisfied with the car he got. Plus the seats are comfortable.

When we got to the hotel, that's where things got dicey for us.

No, we didn't had a problem with our reservation. Qing made it and he makes no mistakes about these kind of things.

No, our room is waiting for us. As long as we can get to the lobby receptionists who are having a hard time dealing with a group of six Chinese tourists who are making a ruckus in the counter.

I think they are the ones having a problem with their reservations. I don't think they have reservations at all.

Receptionist: (talking to an older man) I am sorry, Sir. But our record shows that you didn't followed up with your reservations that was why we gave the rooms to other customers that do followed. The tangerine picking season is on it's way, Sir, so a lot of tourists has reserved their rooms. We are fully booked.

Man: (in strong Beijing accent) What? So what should we do? Should we camp out because you don't have any rooms in your too expensive hotel?

Receptionist: I am sorry, Sir. We will try and call other hotels to see if they can accomodate you. But a fair warning, hotels are fully booked these time of the year. It might be a bit difficult...

Man: (loud carrying tone) Then give us a room! We are already here. Why are you throwing us to other hotels? Is this how you do business here in Korea...

Receptionist: (apologetic tone) I am sorry, Sir. Please calm down. We have other customers...

Man: I don't care!

Man's companion: Yes! We are your customers too! Serve us first before you worry about other people.

Man: See?! Even my friend is disgusted about your services here...

Receptionist: (panicking a bit) I am sorry...Sirs...

Qing: (patience exhausted) Excuse me.
