Closure pt1

I stopped at my track when I saw a pretty lady who also stopped when she spotted me.

I had dinner with my coactors in this little restaurant, here in Wuxi. The food were not that great but we still had fun while sharing stories during dinner that I feel full. Sometimes, it's really the company that can livened up any meal, not just the food.

But when we were going out to have some after dinner coffee from a nearby cafe, my eyes caught a lady who stopped to stare at me as well.

Pretty Lady: Feng Jian Yu, as I live and breathe.

She said those words with genuine gladness on her tone and eyes.

One of my coactors stood beside me to ask...

CoActor: Dayu, do you know her?

Me: (nodding) Yeah. She is a schoolmate of mine. Back in college. (Smiling at the pretty lady) Yang NaLi.

Most of my dinner companions nodded and said "ah" as I took a step closer to NaLi.

NaLi: Hello, Dayu ah.

Me: Hello. It's been what? Seven years?

NaLi: Close to seven years, yes.

We haven't seen each other in that long but as I stare at NaLi, I feel like it was just yesterday when I last saw her. She doesn't change that much.

She is still pretty, very feminine with a smile that brightens her face.

CoActor: Dayu ah, should we wait for you?

I turned to my waiting companions.

Me: (shaking my head) Nah. Go ahead. I will catch up later. Just message me if you found a place to hang out.

They nodded and I waved them goodbye. I will see them later.

I turned to NaLi.

Me: Have you had your dinner?

NaLi: Yes. I was actually on my way back to my hotel.

Me: Are you just visiting?

NaLi: (nodding) Yes. Me and my parents.

Me: I see.

Silence came between us for a moment.

NaLi: Do you have time to have some coffee with me?

Me: NaLi ah, you know I don't drink coffee.

NaLi: (eyes widening) Oh yeah. Still? Wow. Okay. Somethings didn't change then. Then how about some hot cocoa or tea.

Me: I would love a cup of hot cocoa.

NaLi: Then let's have some. I saw a cafe back there. Maybe they serve hot drinks.

Me: Okay.

NaLi and I walked together to look for that cafe that she saw. We found it after a few minutes. We stepped inside the cafe. They have decent amount of customers inside but finding a seat was easy for me and NaLi.

Someone took our order. NaLi and I went for some hot cocoa and a slice each of their butter spongecake.

NaLi: You changed a lot, Dayu ah. You look taller and thinner.
