And the story got more complicated.

I talked to JiJi's husband next. While Qing is resting after his flight from Beijing to here on the South, I called his brother in law who also doesn't know where to begin to reconcile his wife and Qing.

JiJi's Husband: I already changed back your door's code, Dayu. And reprimanded JiJi for doing that. She is just really mad at Qing because we are having a hard time peeling off the cement on her car.

Me: I'm sorry, Gege. I don't know what came over Qing and why he did that. It's so excessive.

JiJi's Husband: I also understand Qing's reason for doing it but you are right, Dayu. It's a bit excessive. To ruin his own sister's car and traumatize Cupcake like that.

Me: (wincing) How is Cupcake?

JiJi's Husband: Not leaving her mistress' side. I am now half wishing that we left her locked in her carrier. Now, JiJi and her dog are both glaring at me like it's all my fault. That it's my mistake why it all happened. I am outnumbered here, Dayu.

Me: Hang in there, Gege. Did you know the start of their feud? Did they teased each other again and it goes way out of hand?

JiJi's Husband: (sighing) No. JiJi touched a rather sensitive issue to Qing. She knows her brother is already thinking deeply about his career choices and it's on a critical stage of making a move about it. But she butted in and Qing took it personally. Words were exchanged.

Me: What did JiJi said?

JiJi's Husband: That...maybe Qing's future lies on a different industry than in the entertainment. Because she thinks Qing is not going somewhere in the show business.

Wow.

Me: And what did Qing said back?

JiJi's Husband: That...JiJi should stay away from his business when she couldn't even manage to accomplish anything as my wife. Or achieve motherhood.

Oh my God.

Me: Oh my God...Gege...I'm so sorry.

JiJi's Husband: Oh, they are both at fault. They were both insensitive about each other's personal feelings. Touching each other's sensitive spots. JiJi took a jab at Qing's career, Qing touched my wife's effort to have a child. It's a total chaos, Dayu ah.

Me: I...have no words. I hope they will both calm down.

JiJi's Husband: My wife loves her brother. I know JiJi loves Qing. And I know Qing loves JiJi too. I don't know if they are just lousy at voicing concern for each other...they always act the worst when they are together.

Me: I noticed that too. Like them giving compliments or boosting each other is such a crime. Or they are just too shy to show affection for each other. I cannot understand them.

JiJi's Husband: Either way, you know I will stick with my wife. And I am relieved to know that you will be by Qing's side. They need us now, Dayu.

Me: I know. Has Qing called you, Gege?

JiJi's Husband: He did. He even apologized to me about the car thing. I apologized to him for that insensitive slur JiJi made. But Qing is still smarting. His pride was pricked. JiJi won't back down too.
