"Fuck."

She heard Sasuke mutter and Shira tried hard to pretend that she was asleep.

An arm supported both her legs and another supported her head. Sasuke carried the redhead to what she assumed their room. Shira tried not to make any unnecessary movements indicating that she was, in fact, not asleep. Sasuke placed her on a futon and made sure she was comfortable.

The redhead waited for a few minutes, making sure Sasuke was fast asleep. Even though he wasn't touching her anymore, she could still remember the warmth he radiated.

Uzumaki Shira never really took notice of his weird actions sometimes or those childish excitements glinting in his eyes whenever he did something great. She knew he wanted her to acknowledge him but...

Out of all the precious people she held dear, she loved Naru-naru and she would gladly give up her life for him but... giving up her life for someone other than her twin? It never crossed her mind until now. It had always been just her and Naruto. Then, there was the old man and Iruka-sensei, Teuchi-san and Ayame-san.

For years it was just them. When in trouble, if she had to pick one out of all of them to save, she'd pick her twin without a second thought. Then, this was where loving someone romantically came in. If she have to pick one between them, Shira wouldn't know how to pick.

That was why the redhead decided to turn a blind eye on that emotion being directed to someone else other than my brother. Naruto came first, that was what she decided long ago.

When she sure that Sasuke was fast asleep, the redhead silently went over to Naru-naru and kissed his forehead before going back to her room.

As the redhead arrived, she didn't realize that Masahi-kun was awake. "Shira-san, where were you?" He was clingy but there was just something wrong with this mission. It was like they were doing something against someone's will. The prince resembled a boy who received little love and now he was looking for someone's affection.

"I was talking a stroll, your highness. Please, you must rest." Speaking so formally made her want to yell every known curse to humankind. She'd never liked formality to begin with.

The prince frowned and reached to grab my hand. "Do you know how to sing any lullaby?" She shook my head. Even if Shira did, her voice would sound like someone scratching on glass. It would probably make someone lose their sanity. Naru-naru had to stop her when she reached the second verse of a song just to save his eardrums.

"Will you stroke my hair?" The redhead blinked at hos request. He sounded so much like Naru-naru when he was still four years old. It had been a bad day for the both of them and he couldn't sleep at night so he asked her to do this for him to help him relax. "Of course."

Shira approached him and made him place his head on her laps as her fingers run thought his silky blue hair. At the thought of him being neglected, the redhead's mind wandered back to when she asked him some questions in the carriage. How could a prince not know of their kingdom, much less his parents?

There was something wrong, she was sure of it but something didn't add up. "Truth." Shira looked down at him when the prince spoke. "Excuse me?" She asked in curiosity. "I could always tell when someone tells the truth or is lying. It is a clan trait solely exclusive in the main family. And when we promise something, even by force, we are forbid to say or do anything to tell someone else except for the person we promised to."

The room bathed in silence once more. Why did he tell her that? Was it something important, something that she should know? Hm, Sakura probably knows something. When Masahi-kun's last name was mentioned when we were briefed, her eyes held recognition.
