For several weeks Eren had been doing well on living on without any blood, which was a relief to Armin. “I'm glad my blood helped ease your suffering, Eren. I really am.” The blonde would smile. But Eren couldn't bring himself to return a smile. He needed to figure out a way to change back, and soon. He refused to ever hurt Armin ever again. He wouldn't allow it.
Eren would visit the library everyday whenever he had the chance and would read every book he could get his hands on that had to do with Myths, Vampires, and Folklore.
Many had a lot of the same things in common. But the only thing that remained different in each one was how a vampire who was once human to turn back.
Some said to turn back into a human, you must find and kiss your true love. Some says it's impossible to turn back since your undead. And more can say that you must kill the one you love to turn back. And some says you must eat garlic for twenty minutes--
“H-Hold, eat Garlic for twenty minutes?! Isn't Garlic like, Poison to vampires?!” Eren is taken aback as he reads inside the isolated library.
“In some cases, yes, but it mostly depends on the story your reading. You do realize this is all Fiction?” Came a gentle soft voice that chuckled.
“It's not fiction anymore, Armin. If it's real enough to turn me into one of those monsters, it's no longer fiction.” Eren responds to Armin quite bluntly.
“Maybe so. But you shouldn't believe everything you read. Perhaps you should--”
“That's the thing Armin, there's no other way!!” Eren lunges out of his chair and grabs Armin, startling the daylights out of him.
“There is no other way other than to research possibilities!! I tried asking the vampire who appears in my dreams to tell me about a cure, but he keeps his damn mouth shut!!” Eren shouted in Armin's face, full of hate and anger. But despite feeling so much rage, tears would stream on out of Eren's eyes.
“E-Eren...I’m sorry. But we shouldn't rely on these books! There must be another way...instead of sitting around, we need to do something!” Armin tries to reach to Eren using words, but this only clogged up Eren's head even more.
“J-Just….shut up! JUST SHUT UP!!” Eren slaps Armin across the face quite roughly. He wasn't himself. He let himself be consumed by his anger. It took only a moment for him to snap back into his senses but then he spots Mikasa running over out of nowhere shouting his name.
“Don't you dare take out your shortcomings on him!!” She grabs Armin protectively as she glared at Eren with flaming daggers in her eyes.
“I-I….” Eren felt he reached a loss for words. He only just promised Armin that he would never, and I mean ever hurt him again. And now...he's broke his promise.
Eren holds back his tears and darts out of the library while screaming…."I’M SORRY!!!” The door slams shut.
“Eren…” Whispers Armin in a low voice. “Armin, are you alright? What exactly happened between you and Eren?” Mikasa wanted to know what was happening between the two. What could have caused things to escalate to the point Eren would slap Armin in the face?
“I-I...I need to help him. He's just confused, scared and upset. I need him to know that everything is going to be ok and we'll find a
way.” Says Armin before taking a few steps away to move out of the library. But Mikasa grips Armin's shoulder firmly but gently, to stop him in his tracks.
“Find a way to what? What's going on?” Armin gazes at Mikasa and it was at this moment, he knew. He couldn't just leave Mikasa in the dark like this. He has to tell her everything.
