Blood gushed out and rained down from where it splattered. The blood dripped like rain as it touched the tiled ground. Armin watched in utter shock, his brain nearly unable to comprehend what he was witnessing.
All of Armin's strength Leaves him, and he finds his knees colliding against the earth as sat there mouthed dropped in awe, eyes shot out big.
No...this couldn't be happening. This shouldn't have happened. It should have never happened. It can't. It can't be...but it appears so.
Once again...he was saved. Because he's weak. Because he's powerless. Because he's someone who needs protection. This scene...why must it always repeat? But why? Why most of all...out of all the other soldiers to be playing this part...did it have to be Kiyomi?
Once again, Armin had found himself in the tight grip of a monsterous Titan, a creature that knew no mercy for the humans it devoured. Armin gasped and held back shouts as the fist he was trapped in began to get tighter and tighter. At this rate, he thought he would be a goner before winding up in the Titan's stomach. But then...that's when she came.
"Armin!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. "?!" In confusion Armin blinks his squinted eyes open to see Kiyomi flying his way before slicing apart the fingers the Titan had enclosed around Armin.
Armin falls and collides to the earth. He chokes out a cough and was out if it for a moment. The world before his eyes was swaying like unsteady waves. But Armin grabs his head with a hand and forces himself back up on his feet.
"K-Kiyomi...?!" Armin looks up to only see her inches away from the Titans jaws. "Armin...I love you. Please...liv--" Before the girl could even finish as tears slid down her rosy cheeks, the Titan crunches down in her, causing blood to rain down everywhere.
Why...why must this...always happen? Why...why of all people...did it have to be her? She shouldn't have been the one to die...it should have been me!
Armin thought weakly to himself as he broke down into sobs. The Titan smiles satisfyingly, now having the sweet taste of blood both in it's mouth and tongue.
But even after devouring the woman Armin loved dearly...it wasn't enough to satisfied the giant's greedy hunger. It wanted more. And more it shall take.
The Titan hunches down over Armin, staring at him with a unsettling grin, a terrifying look in it's eyes that would instantly cause anyone to freeze up upon looking in those orbs.
It reaches out a hand, slowly reaching out for him to pick up it's next meal-- but it's hand was sliced off clean by a soldier who flew by. The soldier thus flew around the Titan before striking for the nape of the monster's neck, and ending the fowl life of the Titan.
The Titan falls over as if a fully grown adult man had just pushed a 4 year old girl over. It falls, never to stand back up again. The giant dissipates, it's remains to be lost forever.
"Armin! Are you alright?" Mikasa hurried over to Armin before placing a hand down on his shoulder and looking at his face. But his eyes were hidden from his bangs as he refused to look the raven haired girl in the eyes. His sobs and unsteady breathing and hiccuping wouldn't ease.
"Armin."
With this one demand, Armin was forced to look the girl in the eyes. "Come on. There's no time to get emotional. We need to go now." Mikasa said this to the blonde coldly, without an ounce of sympathy or care in her voice. It couldn't even be detected in her eyes.
"B-Bu...Kiyomi..." Armin cracked out. It was at this moment, Armin was able to see the emotion flare up in her eyes. She was doing her best to keep it under control.
"Armin, I said we have to go. Now!!"
"I-I can't!" Armin jerked his head away as more tears slipped out from his eyes, staining his flushed cheeks further.
"If I do...more people will die because of me! Because I'm weak... because I'm a burden. I-I-I..."
Mikasa grips both of Armin's shoulders forcefully before shouting....
"Armin!! You know that isn't true. Don't say that! Your not a weakling, nor are you a burden! You've saved me and Eren's life more times than I can count. Because of you, everyone has gotten to where we are now. Death and loss...it hurts. I know. Because I've lost people dear to me as well. But if you die...then so will your memories of that person. So live....fight. The only way to live is to win. And the only way to win is to fight-!!"
Mikasa takes a firm grip of Armin's hand and helps pull him up on his feet. Armin wipes away his tears and a determined look holds strong on his face. He follows Mikasa from behind as they flew throughout the city, avoiding the peril and death. Mikasa's words stroke a chord in him.
Kiyomi...I won't let your death be in vain. I swear it.
The End
Again, this isn't Kiyomi's cannon death. Actually, she's never going to have one. It's just a synerioe I decided to write. A sad synerioe, however :'(
