Here he was. He had finally made it. He finally reached the place he couldn't have gone before. It was real. Every part of it like that book read to him. Everything he'd ever told his best friend, was true.
I got so far
To lose it all
And in the end
Does it even matter?
I came so far
To lose it all
And in the end
Does it even matter?
Does it matter? He couldn't do anything, he felt so weak and pathetic. He could do nothing but to watch the death of his best friend before his very eyes. Same for Mikasa. And then...he had to watch the death of the woman he loved as well.
He's got far to get here. Or has he really? He lost nearly everything to get here. He sacrificed everything, including his humanity. He was nearly ready to even sacrifice his own life.
He's here....it was nearly everything he dreamed it would be...but at the same time, it's not. He can't help but to feel a empty feeling inside. Perhaps he did lose it all. And in the end...maybe it really doesn't matter. That's right...it doesn't matter.
The End
More than this is a story, I guess this would be considered a poem. Basically if you didn't understand it, this piece of writing is about if Armin reached the ocean but Eren, Mikasa, and Kiyomi had to die along the way. Armin nearly gave up everything to see the Ocean. It's all he's ever wanted. To see if the vast Ocean truly existed. But as he stands before the sea he begins to question whether it was all worth it. And then he comes to a resolve that without the four people who meant the most to him in his life, that nothing really has any meaning anymore. That nothing really even matters.
