Attack on Titan: Gone but unforgettable

Currently Kiyomi, Armin, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, and Jean were sitting in a room at a table. Captain Levi and Hangi were in another room, questioning the soldier Sannes while torturing him.

The group of friends could hear the man's screams and cries clearly from the room he was in, several halls away. But they tried to ignore it.

Kiyomi eventually stands up from her chair, grabbing everyone's attention. "K-Kiyomi? What are you..." Armin was cut off by his question when Kiyomi replied,

"I need to speak to him. To confirm something." With that being said, she spins around and headed down the halls towards the door from where Sannes was being questioned and tortured.

"Kiyomi!!" Mikasa scolded Kiyomi while raising her voice. But Kiyomi stared dagger's at Mikasa. She refused to turn back. "I need to do this." Kiyomi says before leaving to her destination.

Everyone was tense and worried now, especially Armin. He knows how sensitive and emotional Kiyomi can be. Entering a room where a man was being tortured, couldn't be good for her. But one look in those fiery eyes of her was enough for everyone to let it go, and to alter from stopping her.

"I wonder why she wants to go so badly..." Armin wonders allowed. But only silence stood in the air until the moment Kiyomi would come back.

Kiyomi opened up the door quietly, but jumps when a scream booms in the room. Sannes was tied to a kitchen chair, and he was having v his finger nails plucked off one by one. Blood streamed out his nose.

"Kiyomi, the hell your doing here?! Go back to the others now!!" Demanded Levi upon noticing Kiyomi peeking into the room. With that, both Levi and Hangi charges towards Kiyomi, trying to shove her out, but she struggles and fights against them. She refuses to give up. Not when the answer might be so close now.

"No, I won't! I have a question for Sannes! An important one! I won't let anyone stop me!!" Kiyomi shouts before finally breaking past Levi and Hangi and reaching over to the tied man she had a particular question for.

"What do you want?" Asked the man. He looked horrible. Well, no wonder, seeing how he was being tortured only a moment ago!

"I have a serious question. And you better answer honestly or else."

"Fine, I don't have much of a choice in these circumstances, do I? What do you wish to ask?"

"There...there was once a married couple who tried to escape the walls so they can explore the world outside. And I heard among the soldier's who killed them...your...your name is always brought up. Does this trigger anything?"

"Oh...yes, I remember. There was a foolish couple who went deep in the woods with a air balloon and we're trying to float themselves up above and out the wall. I ordered my men to shoot them down, and they did."

"W-W...why did you do it?" Kiyomi asked, her voice trembling from rage. "I did it to maintain peace in the walls. They were a threat, so it was only natural for me to issue the order to have them shot down." Sannes explains further.

"But how were they a threat? All they wanted was to go outside!!"

"If they were to escape to the outside, more would follow after. It's against the law and I dedicate myself fully to the king. It's what had to be done. They deserved it."

With that Kiyomi raised a hand and was ready to slap Sannes in the face. But she hesitates and bites down her tongue before saying...

"Get tortured for all I care."

Kiyomi then leaves. Kiyomi heads back in the room where the others were and sits herself back down next to Armin.

"Kiyomi...? What happened? Are you okay?" Asked Armin softly. He knows Kiyomi better than anyone, and he knows when she is upset.

"That...that...bastard." Kiyomi mutters under her breath as she trembles from an intense emotion of both anger and sadness all at once.

Everyone becomes greatly shocked and everyone's eyes shoots out big! Even Mikasa's! Everyone here knows Kiyomi well enough to know she is polite and never curses. But this time, she did. She let out the b-bomb. What exactly happened back there?!

"K-Kiyomi...?" Armin whispers softly to Kiyomi. She was silent for another moment before muttering...

"Sannes...he deserves this."

"?!!"

Armin was so confused! Kiyomi wasn't like how she usually was. She was different. This didn't seem like her at all!

"Why?" Armin ask another question, in hopes he will come to understand what she was so upset about. But what Happened next, shocked the blonde.

Suddenly out of nowhere, and without warning, Kiyomi grabs Armin into a tight hug, before crying over his shoulder. Once Armin was able to process what was happening, he calms down and pats a hand on her back, to help soothe her.

Eventually once she was able to calm down some, Armin let's her separate herself from him and he asked again, what was causing her to be so upset.

"Sannes...he...he killed...y-your parents." Sobbed Kiyomi before starting to break down harder. Armin once again, took a moment before being able to process what she had said. But then he was even more confused.

Kiyomi explains further to him. And by then, Armin understood. But he was still a bit surprised. Never did he expect for Kiyomi to be so upset upon learning of his parents murder to the point she'd been moved to tears. But then again, it made sense to him. She after all, did care greatly for him. And Armin knew it.He was able to tell because he was the one she meant to for everything.

"Kiyomi...it's okay." Says Armin softly. Kiyomi, upon hearing this, lifts up her tear-stained face to meet gazes with Armin's sad one. "It's alright. It happened a long time ago. I'm okay. So please stop crying." He smiles softly.

"O-Okay..." whispers Kiyomi before wiping away her tears. If Armin is okay, then that's all that matters to her. But no matter what, she will never forgive Sanbes for what he did to Armin's parents. He stole them away from Armin. Back when he was still but a child! And for that, he will pay.
