It was another day for 11 year old Armin Arlert. Today he was rushing ahead to the Shiganshina Public Library. He was so excited to check out some new books. Under his left arm, was a big fat book he had just finished. It was a informative book, it was about the History of the walls humanity lives behind.

The book is rather expensive to purchase at the shopping district, so Armin decided to check it out at the Library since for one, books at the Library are free without charge unless your late turning in the book by its due date. Usually this kind of book is not for children, or at the very least, it's not children's reading level. But you know Armin, he's smart for his age and he can read any kind of heavy hardback book that takes his interest.

So Armin arrived to the Library, returned his finished book, and by time he left the Library, he had stacks of towering books in his arms. As he walked the streets of shiganshina, a sweet and precious smile curled up his lips, causing his presence to beam ever brightly.

Armin heads to his favorite spot in town, the river. And there, he can see Eren sitting in the grass, and he was tossing rocks into the river to watch pools be made in the river.

"Eren! Ereeeen! Ereeeeeeeen!!" Armin shouts over and over as he hurries on over, excited to tell Eren about his new books he checked out at Shiganshina's Public Library. "Geez, Armin. You don't need to shout, I can hear you." complains Eren as he rubs his ears as if his ears were starting to bleed.

"Eren, I just checked out these books at the Libary! You gotta look at them!" Armin scatters his books throughout the grass the two friends sat upon and he opened up one to show and tell, and then the other. Armin was always very enthusiastic when it came to books. Whether it's his forbidden books from his Grandfather's basement that discusses about the world beyond the walls, or tactical books, or even fiction, Armin gets all worked up over it and can't help but to talk to Eren about all that he's learned through the books. However, Armin usually prefers non-fiction over fiction. But he tries to broaden his readings every now and then.

Armin and Eren would spend hours at that very same spot since early morning and they were unstoppable when it came to discussing their favorite books and dreams together. Eventually the sun was coming down, and Armin and Eren were completely unaware of it.

Carla was worried, and sent Mikasa to search for Eren, and she agrees. Today Mikasa was spending the entire day helping Carla out with chores. She didn't have to, but she did anyway.

Usually she enjoys tailing behind Eren all day every day, at every single moment he breathes. But everyone sometimes needs a break from hot blooded Eren every once in awhile.

But luckily, Eren rarely every gets angry or takes it out on Armin, so Eren and Armin are usually inseparable and always seem to get along well.

Mikasa checks by the river of town, knowing fully well that's their favorite hang out spot. And when she checks that specific location, they indeed turn out being there.

They were seen excitedly talking about Armin's books and about their dreams for the future, such as exploring the world beyond the walls together.

Mikasa approaches and tells Eren how it's getting late and how his mother was starting to worry. She turns her attention next to Armin, and she tells him how he should probably hurry on back to his parents house and how they too, were probably worried.

So the two boys said their goodbyes and split paths-- Eren walked back to his house with Mikasa, and Armin returned to his own.

Once Armin arrived home, his parents had prepared a late dinner. Armin sat at the dinner table and ate with his mother and father, while discussing about the books he checked out at the Library.

Armin's mother and father was always happy to see Armin eager to read, and to hear him tell them all about his reads. He was always do enthusiastic about it, and his parents found that cute. But they never admitted it in front of their son, just so they wouldn't embarrassed him.

After eating and getting his chores squared away with, Armin was expected to have the lights out in his room. He wishes his mother and father goodnight, while they do the same for him.

Once Armin knew they were gone for good, he grabs his night light, lights up a flame, grabs a book, and begins to read himself to sleep.
